I have had the ring doorbell for just over a year and a half. My door is a covered area out of sun and weather elements. We are empty nesters and have VERY few visitors. Yet I have a cracked button…..when you go to the website, they blame this on “aggressive” delivery drivers…..really? Go on the blogs and this IS a thing. They point you to a video on how to replace the video. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO….Madness as it is quite involved as this is NOT an easy undertaking. This is how Ring deals with a design flaw. In saying that, I hope they fixed this issue as it is an awesome product….just poor quality in the button design. If your doorbell is exposed to sun or weather….buyer beware.

great security system/doorbell. I've got it connected to my echo dots and echo shows. You can display video on the echo show. Easy installation.

This review is on the Video Doorbell Pro, the initial version, let's call it version 1. That is what I purchased and what many reading this review may have as well. My original review that follows pointed out one annoying negative and gave the product 3 stars. Apparently Ring monitors their reviews (since they are owned by Amazon) and as a result I was contacted by a Ring specialist, who was knowledgeable about their products and worked closely with me for a resolution. That experience was very positive. As a result, I have upped my review to 5 stars as the doorbell now meets all my needs and her willingness to work with me was exceptional. The product I am giving 5 stars to is the Video Doorbell Pro 2 which is different than the product I purchased which was the Video Doorbell Pro.

I bought a camera for inside my house first and liked it so much that I then bought this for the front. I got this model as I didn’t like the idea of dealing with batteries. My existing wiring was compatible so the install was easy. Nice part is that my old doorbell still works along with the Ring. I set the motion zones so that not everything passing by sets it off. Someone has to actually walk up to the house to trip it. Overall, very happy.

Best video doorbell ever, more like a security motion camera. Can see events across the street even in the surrounding neighbor’s yard. Upgraded from the Ring Doorbell Wired (2020 release). Although they have similar feature the Ring Doorbell Wired (2020 release) lacks pre-roll which cause a lot of missed events even deliveries to my front door. Pay the extra $100 for the advance features, it’s well worth it!

We, my wife and I had been contemplating getting a video doorbell for a while. We finally decided to get one, after looking at all the options we decided to go with the RING PRO, it was very easy to install. We are very pleased with it, we were out of town, over 100 miles away when my phone chimed, I looked at it and someone was at our front door. We were able to talk with them while seeing them at the same time, was amazed at how well it works. I would highly recommend this product.

The doorbell has a clear image through the camera, it was easy to assemble to the previously wired doorbell that went dead. I replaced the old doorbell with this model. I recommend this product.

This Ring video doorbell is much better than the one I purchased years ago. The videos are clear and the audio is better. I see people and get alerted before they approach the doorbell. It also can identify packages and I will get that alert also.

Excellent doorbell with awesome clear night vision

We had an original ring doorbell, but upgraded because I always struggled with getting just the right adjustment on it. We were always getting too many or too few notifications. Glad I did upgrade. The advancements made to the Pro make it easier to hit that sweet spot. It has much better video also. I also like the mounting wedges that came with it. The one I used helps direct the Ring away from the corner it must sit in in my case.

I love the sleek design. The install was fairly simple. Honestly the most time consuming part was connecting to my wifi. Overall good quality of images. With this I can keep an eye on my kids playing in the front yard and also watch out for porch pirates! Thoroughly pleased with this product.

Easy to install, easy to use app, easy to change the settings... This item is EASY and works with Alexa. We had to return the Arlo because it doesn't play nice with Alexa. While I think the Alro has a superior camera, Ring gets 4 stars since it worked right out of the box and I (a self-admitted non-mechanical person) was able to install it in under 20 minutes.

Works great, easy setup, with programmed announcements to your visitors at the door and clear video. Ring doorbell is no longer compatible with ADT security, so you have to use Rings app separately. Which I don't mind. I was having issues with ADT's Video doorbell, that 2 techs could not figure out, I said forget it and bought the Ring Video Doorbell, yeah I thinks its better.

I purchased this Ring doorbell as a replacement for my original one, which was the victim of a lightning strike. It was fairly easy to install and has been working flawlessly for the last 2 months. Having this device allows me peace of mind with package deliveries and visitors to our home.

This product was easy to set up. Step by step set up was perfect where my wife was able to do it while I was at work. This product has provided us with great security and a sense of safety while at home and away. Great product. Looks a great and I definitely recommend

Easy to install, works great! Added an extra layer of security to the exterior of our house with this doorbell camera that also has a microphone to communicate with visitors when not physically home. Super easy to use on the app. Love that you can get different coloured faceplates to match your home.

This was easy to install, came with everything needed to mount and has awesome motion detection. It’s a great device but I dislike that you have to pay a subscription to make it work. I could understand a subscription for maintaining your data but since it doesn’t connect well real time, They should allow you an hour or so of motion recording or downloading

Ring is the best of the best. We replaced our existing [other name] doorbell that was part of our alarm company system with this unit. Great video quality day or night, audio is good (both directions), app works well, and the control of the feature customization is ideal. Installation was a snap! Well worth the price (and the price is very good).

Excellent product. This is very easy to install. You do need to have a hard-wired connection. The camera is great. The notifications are highly customizable. Moreover, the instructions are very clear.
