Great first season of the show they ended up being a little silly

Episode Three has me hooked, and YES I am expecting zombies or something like that. I like the way it resonates with and comments on the original comic. And I am surprised that nobody has mentioned Once Upon A Time in the reviews I've seen - there's a genre analysis waiting to happen between them. At first, I thought that the dialogue was better than the acting and directing, but it all caught up and is coming together nicely. There's new ground here - and to be honest, I think that's a lot ,ore interesting than hashing over Town Peaks would be. Luckily, I just don't see the Town Peaks connection in anything but the most completely superficial sense; there are mountains, there are mysteries. But Riverdale is its own thing.

CW launched a hit last season; hooked, I was thrilled that SEASON One was available, on DVD, not to mention comparably priced. Complicated characters, and intriguing plots make RIVERDALE a must watch series, anxiously awaiting SEASON Two's premiere.

I grew up on Archie comic books in the 90s. Do not come in with expectations of the characters having similar story lines that you remember. Things come together slowly, so I'm glad I stuck with it. There are lots of plot twists as the characters develop and its much darker than the comics.

My daughter and I binge watched Riverdale on Netflix and loved it. Found this and purchased it for her last year for Christmas. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves the series.

Not at all what I expected. Keeps you guessing and drawn into the story line.

Although most crimes have been committed in large cities, nonetheless even the smallest burgs have their share.

But now to see the reboot of a darker Archie......genius! If you're not watching, you're missing out.

This is a great DVD to have for all Archie character lovers. When I started to watch it I couldn't stop.

son and daughter are 12 and 17. this is a show they love. and they dont fight while bonding.

my kids liked it. that way did not have to keep watching on netflix.

Great show...if you liked Archie and the gang as a child you would love this DVD.

Although this isn't like the original Archie, it has a modern day Twin Peaks feel to it. Very good series!

riverdale is a really good show. i wanted to rewatch season 1.

Not quite the "Happy-Go-Lucky" crew you remember from the comics, soo many years ago. This is a new take on the characters we grew up with and they are not the way that we remember them. A new generation has co-opted them to tell their own story. After the first few episodes you can decide if it is worth continuing.
