Great sound and easy connection with iPhone. Battery life is as is advertised. It cancels out road noise well and sounds pretty good on the receiving end of calls. Sound quality is as good as a head set. It also plays music from the phone. The quality is a little thin but it beats the radio.

    Great for Handsfree Phone Calls

This unit works very well to answer phone calls handsfree while driving. It also works well with the navigator program on my phone, it is much easier to hear through this speaker than through the phone speaker. I haven't been able to master the advanced options to sync with my phone for voice commands to initiate functions like navigator or music, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. It does the basics fine which is probably all I really need. I like the fact that it verbally tells me the status of the battery (high, medium, low). It can be charged in the car with included car charger or in the house with your mobile phone charger.

I have had other hands free bluetooth speakers. This one is much easier to use/conect to phone. Sound quality is better than others I have used. My husband has another brand and wishes he had this one. More features and ease of use. Motorola roadster 2 is well worth price.

    Simple solution to hands-free!

This device allows simple hands-free cellphone by way of Bluetooth connectivity. This can be done with it's fm transmitter to connect through your car stereo or with it's built in speaker which is loud enough for use even in commercial trucks! Plus stream all your music to your car stereo. Answer a call by simply saying the word "answer". This device automatically connects with your cell when you turn the device on and if you move out of range it will reconnect when you are back in range. The device also has great battery life which is a big benefit!

    Does the Job

The Roadster 2 does what you need: enable hands-free conversation, and it works with 2 separate phones concurrently. Voice quality is excellent (and everyone I've spoken with tells me it sounds great on their end, too.) The buttons are easy to see and press, and it clips to a visor easily. It recharges quickly and, if you choose, you can leave it clipped to the visor while it charges, although some may find the coiled charging cord a little annoying to have hanging in your field of vision. I will say that the charging light and status lights are so teeny, tiny that you need a magnifying glass to see them. Trying to decipher a slow flash or rapid flash is challenging but I haven't found much need to do refer to the status lights, anyway. There are a couple minor issues with the performance. First, while the unit is supposed to turn itself off when your phone is removed from the car, I have found that it doesn't always work. More than once I've returned to my car to find the Roadster's battery is dead, so it won't automatically pair to my phone. Also, if your car is within about 20 feet of your phone (say, parked in front of your house...), it will continue to be connected, and you will not be able to use the phone (conversations will be broadcast on the Roadster in your car). It's possible that my dead Roadster battery is actually a result of this circumstance! However, both of these issues are easy to resolve - I manually turn the Roadster off when I leave my car, and turn it on when I return. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Roadster 2. The minor issues are easy to work around, and the hands-free calling is a life saver for complying with state laws that require this, while still allowing high quality sound.

I had the 1st version for around 10 years then suddenly the on/off switch stopped working so they have very long life and great battery life. I love having option to have sound through speaker phone or car speaker system. Being able to change the FM transmission channel allows for great clear sound through car speaker system. The only thing is noise cancellation if have air conditioner/heater blowing or windows open at all. And every once in a while a callers complains about voice quality.

My unit is better than trying to hold your phone and drive and risk a ticket. It is easy to use and I like that . It will tell you what the state of charge is when you first turn it on . Don't depend on that . Charge it more often . Some people say that your voice is garbled. I like the fact that it is easy to tranport from car to car. Most times it is clear . I bought the protection plan because my other one didn't make two years. Some times it does not turn on ,on the first try . You have to turn the unit twice to get it on. The price of the unit pays for one ticket so you might want to try it.

Inexpensive way to add Bluetooth to your car

Compared to bluetooth installed in a vehicle, it's not as nice, for a number of reasons. But the price difference is a few thousand. If you are looking for bluetooth in your car, this should do the trick. The battery doesn't last as long as I would like, similar to cell phones. If the bluetooth is cold it won't work and needs to be plugged in to boost the battery. It doesn't always connect to the phone either. The only way to see how much charge is left on the bluetooth is to take it down and look for the tiny little indicator light. When connected, sound is good, no complaints from people I talk to.

I bought this product for my mom so that she would be able to be handsfree while driving fully expecting to have to set it up for her as she is not great with technology. I called her to figure out when I could come over and she already had it set up both to her phone (android os) while driving as well as her iPad mini to listen to her music simultaneously. It has great sound and is easy to use and set up.

So far I like it makes it easy for me to hear calls while I'm on the highway as well as listen to my Pandora radio programs as I drive. I have not made use of much of the features but I have noticed I must answer the calls by using my phone because when it announces The number of the caller so slowly that the caller would probably hang up if I waited for it to complete the announcement. I Will need more time to use the product to truly give a complete review but so far for my purposes being able to hear my calls while on the road is good for now.

This car speakerphone works great for calls. Auto turns on and off. Battery life is what I would consider above average. Doesn't work well from sending text messages by voice. I also was not able to figure out how to use the voice commands on my phone (Ok Google) through it. I can only use the Motorola voice command app. Again, that works fine for voice call but not very well for texts. Overall though we like and use it regularly. DId get Best Buy to do a price match and got it for less.

Recently purchased an older Rav 4 that did have Bluetooth. Purchased the Motorola Roadster 2 and couldn't be happier. It has great sound quality and battery life. But the best thing it automatically connects and disconnects to your phone as you enter and leave the car helping to preserve battery life and to guarantee it is on when you are driving.

This item works well most of the time. Unfortunately it will periodically not connect with my phone. It does not announce a low battery when this happens so I'm not sure why the disconnect. This does not happen often but it has happened a couple of times. Overall, I enjoy the hands free and the ease of use. Just wish it was more reliable. Still I like it enough to recommend but because of this shortcoming, I am only giving four stars.
