Pairing the device to the phone was a simple operation and the quality of sound is clear enough.

    THE UNIT IS HALF GOOD

When it connects it's the best BT I've ever had. But it does not deliver often enough the goods promised. Speech to text is weak at best. Broken and wrong words. Contacts when dialed only actually connect 1/2 the time. It actually fails to dial the number the first time. You must redial or it will just hang right there with an apparently ready to connect phone. Those 2 blunders in the programming make it a half smart product.

This Motorola Roadster 2 is very simple to use with my iphone. While I like that it announces connected phone(s) upon "first" usage, this can become very annoying, esp when you're in and out of the car. Reception is pretty fair, but sometimes I have noticed lack of "total" crispness or clarity. Have nothing to compare this product with, but based on other's reviews and my experience using, I like Motorola Roadster 2.

All i can say is i love this bluetooth. It surpassed my expectations. The sound quality is great for both parties. I like how it connects and disconnects automatically when I leave or enter my car. Would recommend this product.

Once set up, which was easy, the Roadstar 2 automatically connects either my phone, my wife's, or both. Whichever is turned on and in the vicinity. The speaker is easy to hear and conversations have been great using it.

For the price, I expected it to work without many issues. It paired with my iPhone 5s without any problems. However, the device would often not turn on automatically when entering the car. When I tried turning it off and back on, nothing would happen. I thought maybe the battery had died, but it almost had a full charge. After switching it on and off several times, the device would finally power back up. This would happen once or twice a week during routine use. When in use, the hands-free answer feature worked great when calls would come in. The built-in microphone is top notch; people on the other end had no problem hearing me even with the road noise from traveling at interstate speeds. And the built-in speaker has decent sound quality on my end. But the biggest downside for me was the FM transmitter feature of the device. Living in a larger city, every FM bandwidth is taken by local radio stations. The FM transmitter was not strong enough to broadcast sound to my car without having a lot of static and interference. If you live in a smaller city or rural area, this shouldn't be an issue.

With my older truck, and the new hands-free law that passed, I decided it was time to outfit that vehicle with Bluetooth hands-free technology. Getting this device was much more economical and less complicated than swapping out the stereo in the vehicle for one that allows hands-free calling. This device is very functional, and simple to operate. Everyone states they can hear just fine when talking to me while I am using it, and I can hear them very clear. I love the auto-off feature. When you phone gets a certain distance from the device, and it senses the doors have been closed, it shuts down to preserve power until it senses your phone again. It announces to you that it has connected to your device when you re-enter the vehicle. The efficiency of the power management with this device, has allowed me to only have to recharge it once in the 1 month of use. This is highly recommended.

I was skeptical about buying this product but I use it every time I'm in the car! It is easy to use and you don't have to turn it off, when not in use it goes into a saving mode so its not using all the battery power. It's loud as well.

Only had this for about a week but it works great. Battery seems to last a long time at least so far. Speaker very clear and others say they can't tell a difference in my voice between the phone speaker and the bluetooth speaker.

I bought this for my father who is hard of hearing. So, an earpiece would not work. He absolutely loves it! It is very easy to use and the sound quality is wonderful. Great product would definitely recommend to someone else!

I recently purchased this Bluetooth device for my car to avoid having to wear my earpiece. Overall, the quality of sound from my perspective is very good, but my wife tells me I sound like I am in a hole when I'm talking to her from the car.

My mom didn't want an ear peice and her car is not Bluetooth capable. We found this hands free device after our city passed an ordinance and my mom loves this speakerphone. It's clear, user friendly, and mom approved.

Let me start by saying I would rate this 4.5 stars but since that wasn't possible I went with 5. Solid product ready to use out of the box. Allows me to pair both my work and personal phone and answer and place calls virtually hands free (one small button push to place voice dial call). The speaker is strong and works well on its own as a speaker phone. People have not complained of background noise as they did with the unit I had before this. The FM mode seems better than other units I've tried and I love it for streaming audio books through car speakers during extended windshield time. Only downside is sometimes FM can start to get static and I need to scan for clearer channels. Aside from that great unit that I would highly recommend.

Bluetooth is kind of inconsistent; sometimes it matches up with my phone right away, other times I have to reconnect the phone to the speaker. Once connected it works well. Battery life is about 5 days and the charge only takes about an hour. I really like running my music to my car stereo via the FM mode.

In the state I live in we had to by law go hands free July 1st. I was not happy feeling that I could well pay attention to my phone and drive. I purchased the Motorola Roadster and it has been much easier and enjoyable than I thought.
