This was an interesting take as this movie is considered one of the most movies made.

If you're looking at this online, then you probably already know the deal: Tippi Hedren and her family, including a young Melanie Griffith, made this movie surrounded by a whole mess of untrained African cats. And while it's not exactly a good movie, it's fascinating to watch. Lots of people, including Melanie and then-cinematographer Jan de Bont, were seriously injured. If you're a movie buff you ought to see it. As far as I know, no other film in the history of cinema was made like this, and there'll probably never be anything else like it again.

Should be called "Family Continues to Make Terrible Choices Regarding Wild Animal Safety: The Movie"
It's like a bizarre cross of one of those Disney live-action family adventure movies from the 70s and 80s, and a 70s-era drive-in movie.
It was an absolute blast to watch. Not as violent or "scary" as I was expecting. Really over sells that aspect of the film.

What some people won't do to be in a movie. Watch the cast getting chased around their house in the (supposed) African bush by a large group of lions and other wild animals - for real! No animals were injured but many of the cast and crew were. I've never seen anything like it before.

No cgi or trained animal or stunt double in this movie. All real...just the way I like it. If I'm a stunt man, I will not be in this movie no matter how much they (crazy people) pay me. However, I will give them a standing ovation for bringing us this exciting and nerve racking piece of entertainment.

This movie is erroneously marketed as an animal based horror film, but instead it's a drama/nature flick about a family visiting the father who lives with all kinds of big cats. It's got a great heart & you'll probably learn something along the way.

Fun film, I saw it on tv as a kid. Happy it has a beautiful bluray transfer and is packed with special features. The making of the film is horrific, many cast and crew were severely injured during filming.

Absolutely enjoyed this movie! Great viewing with family. Just goes to show you the tremendous trust and respect wildlife has when we as humans treat them with respect.

This movie made me uncomfortable to watch just off of the sheer fact of being around all of the wild animals. Crazy!

Wanted to see this movie after reading Tippi Hedron's most recent book. Her and her husband made a move with over 70 some real life cats (lions, tigers, panthers, etc.), no stamd-ins, interacting with real life humans, with her immediate family as the main cast. Don't forget to read the credits at the end.
