Good film. Action packed. Parallels Gladiator!!!!

This 4k Blue Ray disc had a defect and locked up during the movie. I had to advance frames to get it going again. I am going to try and exchange it for another one which will hopefully play without any incidents.

I had seen bits and parts of this movie before, but when I saw it in Blu-Ray at a bargain price I thought that I would give it another look as I was not impressed with the first look. And I'm glad I did because it was much more interesting when I could devote more attention to what was going on in the story. I picked up a more historical view of this character than I did before regardless of if it was actually true or not. But it did give the movie a much deeper meaning, a meatier story. I would definitely suggest this movie to be watched by others. Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett were very good!

Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" has been criticized for being too long and mind-numbingly tedious. It has even been slammed for not being a swashbuckling, green-tights-and-Hollywoodized escapist lark like the old Errol Flynn movie. I, however, happen to love this "Robin Hood" like I can't tell ya. I'm a sucker for long historical films, and Scott's artistic triumph is a winner in my book. His attention to detail is legendary, and it suits his historical films nicely. I have the attention span to be able to sit through the extended director's cut, and I'm enraptured every time. This is not your grandpa's Robin Hood...thank goodness.

This has great picture quality, but didn’t care for the movie. Long and drawn out. A one time watch is probably all I’m going to get out of it.

Anything with Russell Crowe is bound to be really good, and the 4K transfers adds some flare, but not the best film he’s been in.

Best movie ever. Nice upgrade to 4K. Streaming just can't show a picture this good. People like to stream. For convenience but disc's are so much better in picture and audio quality. plus you don't need internet and you can tailor it to your own theater quality setup. Plus the story was great. Try it you won't be disappointed.

This was a good take on how the legend of Robin Hood began. While it was a little slow at times, it had a good blend of action, drama, humor, romance, and suspense that made it worth the patience of getting through those slower moments. The casting was perfect with the actors' chemistry visible in the characters' interactions and relationships. Overall, this was a great movie and worth watching again and again.

Going in thinking this would be on par with Gladiator was a mistake as it left me underwhelmed.

Excellent acting! Faces in the crowd: Sgt. Malarkey in BAND OF BROTHERS the mocking deputy sheriff in 3:10 TO YUMA, the Knight in THE SEVENTH SEAL, the lawyer in WIDOW'S PEAK, the government official in the pocket of a pharmaceutical corporation in THE CONSTANT GARDENER.. And many others that film buffs will recognize. A truly international cast. Excellent production values. Green screen used but not obvious. A mature script about people.

This is a great take on the “Robin Hood” character. It’s even better in 4K.

This is not the traditional Robin Hood story, but it’s worth watching.

Robin Hood scuffles onto Blu-ray with a good, though at times problematic, AVC encoded transfer in 1080p and a 2.40:1 aspect ratio. When this transfer works well, it works very well indeed. Overall, despite this film's inherent bleakness and darkness, this is a respectably solid looking effort with only a few minor anomalies keeping it from a better score.

Interesting prequel to the usual Robin Hood story. Provides an "Historical" background for the main characters of the legend. I have always enjoyed the mythology of this era: Ivanhoe, Knights of the Round Table, Robin Hood etc. And I like Crowe's work in general, although this performance doesn't come close to his work in Gladiator or A Beautiful Mind.
