I watched the series in my British Literature class and fell in love with the characters at once. The series is a modern day version of the classic tale of an outlaw who has a firm belief of stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Robin is the clever and witty character that he always is in the story. Marian is the sweet-tempered maidan as she always is presented. The other Characters in Robin's gang and that we meet along the way of the adventures and challenges that Robin encounters at every turn bring comedy and humanity to the stories. And Robin is the same playful character whose sassy techniques, and mild temper can bring about the best and the worst in people. The Sheriff and Guy of Gisbourne, despite being the bad guys, also bring hilarity and more fun for everyone. There are comedy moments, romantic moments, dramatic events, very emotional sets, and scenes that just want to make you scream that makes this even more enjoyable to watch. Let's face, there is nothing that can meet Robin Hood.

As a lover of history, I love watching this old legend brought back to life with a gritty feel to it. Robin Hood doesn't run around looking great like Errol Flynn did (no dissing the man's fun portrayal). This ensemble cast works well together and they make it wonderful joy to behold. The actor playing Guy Gisbourne is FABulous. A bad boy wanting to be good, but just can't quite make it without Maid Marian's help. Of particular note is the young man portraying Robin. The inner conflicts in him are brilliantly done. And he has the perfect foil in the Sheriff of Nottingham. This guy is funny and evil in the same instant. Think Alan Rickman in the movie version. If you love the Robin Hood legend or just like some good sword fighting or cheering for the underdogs then this series is for you. I can't wait for Season 2 to come out on video since I can't view the series on BBC. *sigh*

I loved it!! Watched very show on BBC-America this past Spring and can't wait to see the Second Season. I plan to purchase this item for myself and for a gift. In this day an age when you have to really reach for something that can be fun and exciting for the whole family this was great. I was glued to each show. The characters are wonderful. I was blowen away with how much fun my whole family had as we watched each week. wow!

This is a great series. I nice new look on the classic tale of Robin Hood. The acting is great, especially that of Keith Allen. It can sometimes be a pretty corny show, but if you don't let that bother you it is a very enjoyable show. It is clean, funny, and action packed. A truly creative look on the story of Robin Hood. It is a must see for all true Robin Hood fans.

I discovered this series this past summer and loved it. The characters are so real and fun. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and the heroes aren't superhuman, I really like that. Can't wait for season 2 to start this weekend!
