This is a remake, although it seemed to be more humanized, and much less secretive. That was kind of the best part of the film. Cinematography of today is much better, so that is expected. The acting was fairly good, even Samuel L. Jackson's rants were kind of funny. I believe that I still like the original movie better.

I liked the updated version of Robocop but the brutality of the original is missing. The opening seen in the original where his is torn apart by shotgun blasts makes you really hate the criminals who did it. The gruesomeness of the original is also missing. Good action flick overall. More of a rental than a keeper.

The movie keeps a decent pace the entire length, however the actors playing their parts i wouldnt say are very convincing at some points. Samuel L Jackson of course had minimal role but was rather entertaining while there. The cgi was well done but i dont feel like the cinematography was anything overtly special.

Although it missed some of the heart and blood that the original had. This wasn't bad. It definitely takes a slightly different spin than the original and had lots of action. I think the biggest miss in this is there really wasn't a Big Bad like the great Kurt wood smith. Otherwise it's a worth while watch.

I enjoyed the original RoboCop, which was largely due to the role of the villain (Clarence). This remake was produced well--it had decent acting and special effects. However, the story line failed to hold my interest. At least you hated the villains in the first one. At least you saw some horrific things that Officer Murphy went through to become RoboCop. In the remake, it feels like they go through the motions. In fact, they made a couple changes to the storyline that I liked, but unfortunately they didn't develop the characters or the plot enough for the viewer to care. If you're going to remake a movie, you should either improve it, or put your own style to it. This movie didn't have much to offer, except to show the advances in special effects over the years. In the end, I was just happy the movie was over and will move on with my life.

I really enjoyed watching this remake of the original Robocop. The look of the movie and the new look of Robocop and machines made for a great blast from the past. They stuck to the story line pretty well and added just enough for the next generation. This was a fun movie to watch on a Saturday night.

Normally the second go around of a popular movie does not go over well, but the latest version of Robo Cop is the exception. The special effects are good, and he Ps to make up for the so so acting... It is a buyer, especially at the sale price I purchased the movie at.. Great Saturday afternoon flick.

Being a fan of the original, I wasn't sure how the reboot could be an improvement. Agreed, it is basically the same story, only updated for the times. It is well balanced for action and drama, excellent story and acting, very entertaining. I think it has done justice to the original...well done!

I liked this new version of Robocop. It will never replace the original, but I feel that this movie got a lot right. I enjoyed some of additions that were made to the plot. I prefer not to compare it, but rather just enjoy it for what it is. The audio and visuals were great on the blu-ray as well.

Being a avid fan of the first 2 80's Robocop movies, (no love for the third) The new path they took was refreshing and made it much more believable. Glad to see the HOGS in the new movie as well. Saw this flic in both the theater and on Blu-Ray in my home theater and enjoyed it in both formats.

We are seeing a lot of remakes and reboots lately. Having seen the original, I was pleased with this movie not feeling like it had to go over the top or resort to gimmicks. The story was different enough from the original yet retained the feel of the Robocop movies in the past.

Really fun movie. I love the original, and I felt this movie did a good job of adapting it to a more modern setting. The only down-fall is the length; the film is too short, and there's too much exposition compared to action. Overall a fun watch and worth your time seeing it at least once.

Blu Ray is definitely the way to go with any movie these days. Robocop looks great in HD compared to the original. Of course this is a remake in order to capture the updated effects in film that have advanced since the 1980s. Very good for a remake, but could've been much more exciting.

Definitely pays homage to the original little subtle things throughout the movie. In the special features Michael Keaton compares the Batman suit to the Robocop suit I thought was funny. Both are good in their own right, can't really be compared one better than the other to the original.

If you loved the original Robocop you'll love this one. There are plenty of small and large hints to the original film. This movie does take a different path as to not seen like a rerun of the original film. The picture quality is very well balanced and you subwoofer will get a workout.

I am a huge fan of the original and wasn't expecting much from this remake. I am happy to say it is not bad at all. The cast is great, the effects and action are excellent too. If you are expecting the same blood and violence as in the original, you will probably not be happy with this.

The new Robocop is not a complete rehash of the original but boasts a strong cast and some cool special effects. What it lacks is the subversive sense of humor that permeated the original. Worth a watch though and newcomers shouldn't have any issue with the comparisons to the original.

This isn't a good as the original movies but this is pretty close. The action was great and the cgi was great. The acting sucked from time to time, but still not near as bad as Christian Bale in Batman. If you watched the originals definitely watch this one, you won't be disappointed.

This was a very good movie. I kept away from all info so that I would not know the story before watching it. It is it's own movie, not having any real connection to the old ones, and that is good. Less violent, less bloody, and more story. I think this is a good one to bring home. :)

I like this movie. I didn't love it. I did however love the sound and picture from the blu-ray. Those things alone make it a really fun picture to hear and see. And heck for $5, it's worth being able to experience those sensations over and over again whenever I feel like it.
