    There is absolutely no technical reason or advantage to having LED illumination in a keyboard. It is purely a subjective, artistic preference. I'm a sucker for things that are illuminated by colorful LEDs, so I love it. The keyboard action didn't impress me at first. For me, it was an acquired taste, which I now love. It allows me to type faster than ever. I got it for a really good price by using lots of reward points during a sale.

    I love this keyboard, it's very nice to look at, easy to clean, very fast and doesn't make too much noise, which is a big issue for me. The only downside is that you need to install software to get access to the lighting, and it's the kind of software to bothers you every other day to update it, so I recommend turning automatic update reminders off unless you really care that much about its more exotic features.

    I absolutely love this keyboard! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because you have to download an external program to get it to work, which was confusing to find. The instructions were not clear. Also, the "0" key on the numpad stopped working for about 12 hours and then decided to work again. Aside from those caveats, this keyboard is my favorite ever! The keys are smooth with just the right amount of "click" to them, and it's gorgeous to look at! Way better than the competitors.
