Being practically one of the only keyboards in its class, this keyboard gives the feeling of comfort and stability without equal, it seems to me that it is an advance in technology that is really noticeable if any keyboard has been used in the past, whether mechanical or membrane, In addition to the stylish finish that it has, it gives the impression of being a product in which a lot of effort and dedication was put into it, I could say that it is very well done. Aesthetically it is a beauty, from the moment of unboxing you can see and feel the quality, it has an aluminum finish and RGB lighting that can be modified to taste with the ROCCAT SWARM software, it has a knob to control the volume which is thanked, the wrist rest that is easily installed with magnets is very practical and easy to install and remove. In my experience this keyboard is out of the ordinary and with each click one can realize how well it is done, the optical technology gives incredible precision, it is quite pleasant and comfortable when using this keyboard for a long time. If you are one of those people who tend to write too much or play for a long time, this keyboard is the ideal one. In summary, the technology and design that this keyboard has makes it one of the best options on the market today, I highly recommend it.

This keyboard is different from others that I have had. The Titan switches have a really smooth and responsive feel to them that is unlike others. It’s hard to explain just how smooth it is. The design is thin and has a refined look to it with the aluminum top plate. Once you install the ROCCAT Swarm software you get to dig into the customization of the keyboard even more. From changing the repeat delay and rate, an audio sound for each keystroke, individual key assignments and macros to lighting effects. If you want to remap your keyboard for some reason, it’s simple to reassign a key in the software and enable the game mode or easy shift to use it. You can also remove the cap from the key and move it somewhere else. These changes even remain in the keyboard if moved to another computer. The lighting effects can go from fully lit to extreme customization of each key. The AIMO intelligence lighting creates an interesting effect while typing and can be shifted with the volume knob built into the keyboard. The volume knob and other media controls work seamlessly with my Windows computers. Overall, a fully customizable, nearly silent and amazing looking keyboard that is sure to catch someone's eye.

The ROCCAT® Vulcan Pro Optical RGB Gaming Keyboard is amazing! The design is phenomenal, the keys have a unique-crisp feel to them as you type and the responsiveness is unlike any keyboard I've used before. I love the full range of functions like the number pad, customizable functions and the illuminated back plane. It's really awesome the way the keys light up as you type and the variation of color options. It works great on PC & MAC. The audio controls are spectacular, as you can customize the sound of your music right from the keyboard. If using this keyboard for gaming, you will not be disappointed. The keys are super precise and responsive, so much that the keyboard begins to feel like an extension of your hand. The palm rests are nice for ensuring comfort especially for periods of extended use. I use this keyboard for everything. Work, play, general browsing. It's simply awesome! I look forward to using this keyboard for a long time. I highly recommend the ROCCAT® Vulcan Pro Optical RGB Gaming Keyboard.

    Wonderful mechanical keyboard

I’ve got a few mechanical keyboards and I was wondering what would make the Roccat Vulcan Pro better or different. I opened the nice packaging by flipping up the lid and remove the keyboard. I notice there isn’t a USB slot in the keyboard, but hey, there aren’t two USB cables coming out of it either. I just have to reroute my mouse cable down to the PC. So, I get the mouse reconnected and the Vulcan Pro up and running…now what? Looking at the construction, I see a black aluminum top that looks very well made. The edge and bottom are still plastic, but the work surface is all business. I fire up iTunes and test the volume knob. It works…as it should. Then I check out the lighting and keys. The keys are a bit weird at first, but they’re concaved and fit your fingers well. The top is black and seems to float above the LEDs. It looks great though. Also, the design allows dust to be easily removed and not get trapped under the keys. I then grab the palm rest and it’s magnetic, nice. It connects with no issues, just pops into place. So now I’m set, and I want to see what light patterns are available. Nowhere on the box does it say to download software, but there must be, so off to the website I go. I go to the downloads and support section and I see Swarm software for Windows. I download and install it and tada, I have what I was looking for and tons more. The software allows profiles, 4 or 5 if I remember correctly. You can assign keys, create key macros with easy shift assigning secondary actions to keys, and many games have presets already in Swarm (or you can add your own). Then there are sounds. You can have Swarm add typewriter sounds that simulate an old typewriter as you type. I found it worked well, but it got annoying rather quickly for me. I guess I’m used to the noise of the keyboard. Most of my friends say I type really hard and I’m tough on keyboards. It’s just the way I was taught to type…back in the old IBM Selectric days! It also had a click option, but I found it lagged and didn’t keep up with my speed. That’s only about 45-50 wpm, so I would think it would be awful for a real typist. Not only did it lag, but it caught up when you paused or stopped. The end of a sentence was followed by about 20-30 clicks. Ugh! You can use M1-M6 on the insert, home, pg up down, del, and end buttons to switch between profiles. And there is the game mode button so you can disable the Windows key while you are gaming. There are probably more features I haven’t had a chance to try, but I can see how this hardware/software combo could take one’s gaming to the next level. Lastly, I enjoyed typing on the keyboard. The Titan switches work flawlessly. Because I type so hard, I don’t notice a ton of difference between it and some of my other mechanical keyboards, but when I just need to type in a sentence or two, I type a bit softer and there is no lag whatsoever. I’d recommend this to anyone that does a lot of typing or gaming. In either case, the keyboard is wonderful to type on.

I loved the feel of the mechanical keys! It was a bit hard at first to get used to typing as they keys felt a bit further than usual, but if you can get passed that, overall it’s got a lot of good features.

    Ultra Responsive and Premium Feel

This is my first optical keyboard, be it for gaming or not, so I can’t say there are better ones out there without having tried them but what I can say is that I was impressed as soon as I connected it to my Alienware PC. It was not because of the RGB lighting, which is definitely vibrant and subtle at the same time. The lighting does bring memories of happy childhood for some reason and I say that not as a particularly sensitive person, which I'm not. But what amazed me was the extreme responsiveness and the softness feeling on my fingertips. It is not actually soft by any means but that’s how it feels. The keys are tall and loud compared to my mechanical RGB keyboard but no more than most other keyboards out there. For photo and video editing loudness doesn’t matter much and when I’m playing games, who cares? And this keyboard has an aluminum top plate. But again, what makes it outstanding is the responsiveness. I have a good mechanical keyboard with quick response but I’m more than convinced that this is even faster. It only makes sense since there is nothing faster and more accurate than light carrying data. Although it’s almost impossible to type without pushing the keys all the way down, which would make this keyboard completely silent, it registers the least pressure you apply to it. Purely mechanical keyboard can’t do that. It can make a huge difference when gaming since you need the fastest response you can get. I like the macros and the FN (function) keys. Customizable to an extreme and it keeps its configuration profile on board. That means you can take it to any computer and still have the same functions you saved. It definitely is the best keyboard I’ve ever used for games. It has a comfortable detachable magnetic wrist rest and a physical knob to control volume: much faster than using the task bar. Although Roccat is a new brand to me, it feels premium and should not be ashamed of top brands. This is my default keyboard now and I hope it lasts as long as they promise and as it feels.

I guess the best way to describe this keyboard is that they are not over exaggerating when they say it is responsive. I have the full mechanical feel and it is lightning fast (yeah, I’m using their advertising words, but I can’t come up with a better term, I think and it types). It did take me a little to get used to how fast and easy it was to type on this. I tend to switch back to my ergo keyboard for work but to review something like this I’ll use it 100% of the time for several days to get the feel of it, and it feels nice, I did have to remember to lift my fingers a little more as it has quite a bit of travel compared to a keyboard built for the office, which is perfect for gaming and exactly what I want. It has its game mode and the keyboard itself is completely customizable within the swarm app, I did notice that it easily coordinated my ROCCAT mouse into the color sweep as well which was really nice. Yes, I cannot help it, I love the color sweep and how it looks on my desk. I think my favorite feature of this keyboard is the volume scroll button, I hate it when I when my wife walks in talking and I have to spend a few seconds hunting down the volume button on settings menu that seems to disappear, or trying to remember the FN+volume and/or mute button on the other keyboard. This one has a dedicated mute button and a giant volume knob which I love. The scroll wheel can also control the light intensity which is nice if you decide you don’t need any light for a bit you can turn it all the way down to zero without opening the swarm program. If you are looking for a nicely built sturdy metal gaming computer that really lets the lights show, is extremely responsive, and has a physical volume control mixer style knob than I can easily say this one will work great for you.

I love the feel of this keyboard! it's very tactile and responsive, unlike any other! In terms of responsiveness it's the fastest responding keyboard I've tried, multiple clicks register with a clear different feel from other mechanical keyboards. So far, the only thing I don't care for is the lack of a padded wrist rest and the keyboard wasn't packaged the best which made it feel like it wasn't the highest quality. Aside to that, it absolutely looks and feels high quality so don't get me wrong! To summarize my experience so far, here are some pros and cons so far: Pros: Ultra fast responsive keys (perfect for FPS gaming where every ms counts!) Easy-Shift Feature for accessing profiles Flat deck design with keycaps that conform to your fingers make it easy to clean and it looks unlike any other keyboard out there RGB lights look unique and are easily configured SWARM software has a lot of presets for many games and easily configured Cross-device profile activation in SWARM software Magnetic wrist rest Aluminum deck looks nice, is easy to clean Cons: Wrist rest is not padded Packaging didn't sound/feel like it kept keyboard secure during shipment Lacks integration with other RGB software/lighting and Roccat does not offer all of the RGB accessories you may want to have with your rig Overall, this keyboard is different and it's clear when you try it that it's different from the competition and it looks/feels professional. It definitely was designed from the ground up with gaming in mind and having the competitive edge!
