Please Note that I was able to play this game before the official release during a demo session. Graphics - 9/10 For what the game is, you are not buying this game to play for the graphics – though EA and Harmonix was to put a lot stuff onto one screen, and it works well. The words and the activators are clear and bright. Sound – 10/10 The track list for this game, along with the original recordings and downloadable content, is a must have. You will get lost in involvement when playing this game. This is one of the best soundtracks in a game to date. The best addition is the sound of the instruments when you mess up – they just cut out. Gameplay – 9/10 Though taking on new instruments Rock Band has taken this game this game down a new road, going to a new town and just nailed it. The drums, along with the fender are awesome. What is really impressive, but under published is the singing. This is a fun, yet interesting addition, to this platform. Replay Value - 10/10 When you see the achievement list, it will make you achievement “gatherers” play this game again and again to get the full 1000/1000. Plus with the addition of online multiplayer, content downloads, and competitive play – it will hard not to play this game over and over. This is worth your $169.99 for the bundle this holiday season. Overall - 10/10 This game is going to change the way developers take the gamer in the future. As an avid gamer, and a twenty-something, this game just pulled me in. The soundtrack, gameplay, singing, and peripherals all gel perfectly. The new wireless “Fender” guitar is heavier, durable, and a real close replica to an original Fender. Playing this, you feel as if you have a real Strat in your hands. Playing Guitar for the last seven years, this instrument feels natural, and it is easy to orientate yourself to it. I must say that this is a nice controller, and I did not want to put it down. The drums are well built, sturdy, and I have to say – just plain fun! The color coded drum heads, and kick pedal, feel good while playing them. Playing cross-handed style naturally, they set up the game to accommodate real drum playing style. This is the closest simulator I have felt. I would agree with the developers in saying that playing the drums on expert level would make you a better “real” drummer on a novice/intermediate level. Singing – well… That is just plain fun. I must comment that the pitch recognizing, along with the tracks, takes this game to the next level. I highly RECOMMEND that you get the bundle not only to save money, but to experience this game in entirety with your friends.

I love this game. Every song has a lead guitar, bass guitar, drum, and vocal track that can be played. The microphone is laggy- but can be fixed by adjusting the settings in game when switching between instruments (your vocal lag will be different than the lag for guitar). At first I didn't like a lot of the song choices but as I have played through the game I have found a couple of new favorite songs I didn't know before. Another plus is that you can download (at extra cost) additional content from the PS store (songs like Fortunate Son by CCR, Roxanne by The Police and Hard to Handle by the Black Crowes). If you want to try before you buy just stop by a local best buy - they have the X-Box version up and running at most and the inputs are the same on all system.

This is a fun and addictive game, better then Guitar Hero in my opinion because you have the added feature of drums and a mic. Many people may not like this game because the instruments aren't real, but that is the point, its a video game. You'll have tons of fun with your friends on here. One word of warning, the Guitar Hero guitar will not work on this game, and this guitar will not work on the Guitar Hero game (PS3 problem only). With that said, you'll need to pick up an extra rock band guitar to have a 4 member band, there is a Nyko one that will work on both games.

Good game but is hard to sync your tv to if you wanna get the timing right. Other than that, everything else is great making this a great game to play with a crowd of people.

rock band is a game where you need friends. for $200 you can get the kit which includes the game,microphone,guitars and a drum set. in the game you have alot of song's to choose from playin and also you can download songs and play them to. it is for the ps3 and xbox 360. hope you give it a try and have fun

This game is going to blow away GH3 it is so much better because it does the same thing as guitar hero but with added content which makes it better then GH3. So this holiday you must buy this game.

i didn't buy this game. but i play it at my friends house on the wii. but does it really make a difference who cares. I dont listen to music so as long as it doesn't make me deaf or something i don't care either way. You put what ever difficulty you want and you can sing play drums or play the guitar. Other than singing, both the drums and the guitar are really fun and its worthwhile, other than the price this is a quality game

My 3 kids got this game (complete Rockband Set for PS3) for Christmas. They played for 6 hours straight. This is a Christmas miracle! No fighting!! They each could play a part in the band. They cooperated and built up a great fan base. Loads of fun for them. They loved personalizing their own characters. This was a GREAT gift. I would definitely recommend this for other families.

This game is great, you have great songs, you can play guitar or bass drums or sing all in one!! You can play as a band which is fun to do. But the whole set is quite expensive lol, but its still a great game

Oh my god!!! This game is sweet!! I just got this game a month ago and I love it. I could play it like all day. It is the best band experience i've ever had. I highly recomend it to people who love music and want to see what it would be like to be in a band. Rock Band is like the best game I have right now. It is awsome!!

The game is great. Whenever we have parties we break out this game and everyone has a blast. Great to do while drinking!

This is well worth 169! The song choices are awesome...well rounded. The difficulty is better than Guitar Hero..meaning...one doesnt breeze right thru it..more realistic to real instruments. guitar,drums are solid material...no breaking! This game is the perfect party game...move over karaoke!

Rock Band looks to be a killer hit for 360 and PS3 owners. Parties will never be the same when u and your friends start jamming out to famous hits from many eras of music. I would highly recomend buying it, or investing to get the full package: $200 for everything (be sure you have friends first)

It's pointless to buy the game for PS3 if you can't play any of the guitar parts. The GHIII Les Paul controller is not recognized by Rock Band. I foolishly bought the game assuming that the controller would work. Now I have to wait until the Fender Strat comes out. I don't want to take it back because the song list is far better than GHIII. THIS IS A MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS unless you are just getting it as a replacement for the game disc you got in your special edition bundle. NO INSTRUMENTS ON THE MARKET WORK WITH THIS GAME except for the ones that come in the special edition bundle, and will not be sold separately until 2008. No guitar that has been released for PS2 or PS3 thus far, other than the Rock Band Fender Stratocaster work with this game. If you buy this without owning the Rock Band instruments already, you are buying a coaster.
