    What games are all about.

This game blows Guitar Hero III out of the water. Harmonix knows how to make a music game, and Rock Band is the most fun you'll ever have with three other people in front of a TV. Simply put, if you have the means to buy this game, it is absolutely worth it.

    A Rhythm Must Have

Harmonix hit the nail on the head when they made this game. An amazing soundtrack to start out. Plenty of music to download to expand your library. Rock Band makes a gamer that knows rythm by 5 button colors expand that thought to a drum and learn to vocalize as well. The game offers drumming vocals bass and guitar. The drums lack a feel for symbols but never the less a challenge like a drum set. Guitars have a new strum bar that feels more like an actual string compared to Guitar Hero peripherals, as well as a switch that acts as 4 different foot pedals to enhance sound. Multiplayer makes this game the best giving each person to play together in a band to everyone's own ability. Also with the ability to have a multiplayer career mode called, "Band World Tour." An amazing party game that is only going to gain more fans and addicts to it. Rock Band is a must have.

    360 version better then PS

My roommate had the PS2 Version of Rock Band, but since I had Xbox 360, he decided to sell his, and buy the 360 version, in order to download new content, but when we started playing we realized it was a better game entirely. I don’t know how the PS3 version is, but the PS2 is similar to Guitar Hero, you work your way down a list of songs, boring, but the 360 version, you have shows with multiple random songs, you travel around the world and earn records. Everywhere you go there are new songs, and sometimes repeats, but the best thing, when you download new songs, they get integrated into your tour, they may be in a random list, or just ask you to play them.

The Most I've Ever Played A Game

This is the most I've ever played a single game without getting bored of it. That is saying a lot considering I have loved playing video games all of my life. This game just does not get old. The core gameplay of playing along with the music is incredibly satisfying. Factor in that there are over 50 songs with multiple difficulties across all of the instruments and you are talking about hours and hours of fun. Not enough? You can download songs from the Xbox Marketplace. You can't go wrong with this game.

    Better than Guitar Hero

This came from the original team that made the first two guitar heros and also the karaoke games. So those who think this won't be as good as guitar hero, you haven't read enough about this game. This promises to be a great game, singing is not required, just as drums are not. It is only an option. If you can't sing, and I can't, then don't buy the mic. Unless you just want to make a fool of yourself and just have fun.

but seriously, I saw a prototype of this game at the Clapton Crossroads event in Chicago this summer. Amazing, not to mention the Fender Strat controller! Drums, Bass, Mic, it's all in the game. It looked really cool. Not that it is any better than Guitar Hero, yes, same folks, but it adds WAY more to the game with all of the other instruments...PLUS...you get to play the Fender Strat that actually LOOKS like a Fender Strat. Way Cool!

My friends and I have really loved this game!! You can play by yourself or with a group! The songs are all fun to play and sing with a huge selection and new songs you can buy! Plus the game setup makes it easy and quick to learn but really hard to be the best! It really does make you feel like you are in a band but don't forget... shine and your fans will love you but stink and they boo!

    Why bother?

I really only have one major quarrel with this game. The graphics are fine(they dont need to be that great), the music(quality) is also adequate and so on... My real beef with this game and others like it, is that in the ammount of time many people take to improve at it, they might as well just started a real band and learned a real instrument. Yes, this game can be fun in a very casual sense, but if you're planning on buying this game in an attempt to beat every level of difficulty and every song, you're wasting your time(literally). Playing the rockband giutar will not help you play a real one. Playing rockband drums will not help you play yreal ones. I'll admit, there may be some merrit to the singing, but nothing you couldn't get from singing along to a radio. The most you will get out of "mastering" this game is the ability to hit or push something when a light on the screen tells you to. If you are looking for something to do with freinds once a week, great. If the idea behind getting this game is to feel like you are really in a rock band, then just START A ROCK BAND. Skadoosh.

Good multiplayer, not so good single player

This game is awesome when you play with 2-4 players and Band World Tour mode is a lot of fun. While playing alone can also be fun, Solo Tour is lacking and your solo options are somewhat limited. Rock Band 2 is more fun if you play alone (many of the problems were fixed), but this is still an awesome party game.

This game is great, you have great songs, you can play guitar or bass drums or sing all in one!! You can play as a band which is fun to do. But the whole set is quite expensive lol, but its still a great game.

Besides the annoying racket the drums produce this game is all around Good. Theres plenty of songs to play and tons of D/L content. If you're into Guitar Hero you'll love this game it takes a little time getting used to though

Rockband is a great game to play. It is fun and addictive and does not get boring. However, the instruments (guitar, drums, microphone) are expensive. But if you have the extra cash, it is definitely worth the buy.

The game is fun, the sound is good, the graphics are good, its interesting the type of songs you can get online. The only thing I have against this game is the amount of time people play the actual game. Its not worth the price at all. Your better off buying your own guitar, base, or drum set and learning how to actually play. I let one of my friends brow the game and he ended up being a Hermit. All he wanted to do is play the game and see how many fans he could get.
