It's campy, the music is great! Tom Cruise steps out of his comfort zone for his role! Alec Baldwin awesome as always! Russell brand, whom I usually can't tolerate, was one if my favorite characters!! I watch it all the time!!!

This is one of the best muscial movies of allllll time!!!!! You will be amazed by the performances and shocked by some of the scenes. The music is soooo fantastic - I watch this almost every week- it's one of my all time favorites

Only includes the extended version of the movie. Does not include slipcover or digital copy. Doesn't even have a title card inside the package, which is also an el-cheapo case with cut outs in the plastic of the front under the cover art so they can save .01 per 1000 units, giving a weak, flimsy case that was broken in shipping. Other than the low quality of the release this is a great movie, but this release is just too weak to satisfy collectors.

A guilty pleasure. So much 80s music to love here. Just don’t take this film too seriously.

I picked up the movie on a whim; it seemed to me to be a self-indulgent movie about the rock & roll culture that has existed for years. However, it was entertaining and the music was excellent.

My children don't always like the older music but when they hear them in this movie they sang right it's one of our favorite family night movies.

I love this movie! Great music, especially for anyone that loves the 80"s. This will absolutely get your feet moving and your blood pumping. BTW, Tome Cruise was amazing in this flick!

Fun 80's metal ballad musical movie. Storyline is not much, but is a good movie if you love the music.

I love how this movie is put together with a lot of classic music. I am a fan of this musical and it is a great choice for people who don't like musicals but like classic rock music.

If you liked the 70's - 90's for music, and you don't try to read to much into it, this movie is pretty good. If you are looking for fine cinema, you will be disappointed. The acting is fair to average, and the plethora of music and acting idols from that era show exactly why they are now doing movies like this, their talents were limited then, and many are non-existant now. That said, it is not a horrible movie. My wife and I enjoyed the music, and even the limited plot within it, but I probably will not watch it but maybe once more.

If your a child of the 80s you'll love this flick. Great music and great way to remember the past. From the music to the hair to gas prices. This is a fun and great movie night flick.

I like to collect movies of Tom Cruise. And these movie it's really different from his movies... Like the music on the movie.

I am really not a fan of musical, normally. But the music from the 80s and 90s was pretty good. And Tom Cruise plays a good part, funny.

This is a must have for anyone who loves the 80's or loves musicals. This is one of the movies that I enjoy watching over and over. And Tom Cruise is just awesome in this movie.

one of my favorite movies that I found in the 3.99 bin and I played my other one so much that I needed to get a new one.

For anyone that grew up during the 1980s or appreciates great rock music -- this DVD is a must buy! Great covers of rock favorites plus a good bit of humor is an added bonus.

The music in this movie is great. The story is ok the acting is sub-par. Fun family film with great songs, but disappointing cast.
