The music in this movie is great. The story is ok the acting is sub-par. Fun family film with great songs, but disappointing cast.

Pick up the cd to go with this movie. All the songs in the movie are great and classics. It elevates the story and makes the movie fun to watch again and again

Never saw the play but the movie is a lot of fun. Actors did an amazing job. Couldn't stop singing afterwards. Movie is really long but worth sitting through for the music .

I love musicals and this movie is one of the best! I love the music and the humor. The story line may appear to be cheezy but I feel it is representative of the time period.

I love 70s and 80s rock and metal, so I was really interested to see this movie. Definitely some funny parts, especially Tom Cruise's obvious parody of Axl Rose, but the two main characters are annoying and a lot of the movie feels like it is making fun of the music instead of honoring it. Also weird that in the world of the movie the actual artists exist but for some reason Tom Cruise's character is written as if he wrote all the cover songs that he sings.

I got this for my wife as she absolutely loves the movie and the music. Its a new-age-musical which has some great actors and they can REALLY sing well!

This is probably my favorite musicals. It's 1980's rock mix with a funnny cast and good story. Tom Cruise delivers again (think Tropic Thunder). Get it!

A great use of the lyrics of classic rock songs in the telling of the story. An easy to watch movie that is humorous and enjoyable.
