This is another great album from Rick Springfield. It has a good variety of songs.

Good CD. Upbeat pop rock. Each song has notes about how and why it was written.

When I first heard this new CD would have a bit of country flavor to it, I was a bit disappointed. I don't mind country, but I don't always like when rock artists try to sound country. But this just seems to work. It's not like he sings with a twang or anything. It's still got Rick Springfield's big rockin' choruses, he just uses some atypical rock instruments which adds to the diversity of the album. My favorite songs are "Pay It Forward," "Miss Mayhem," and "The Best D*mn Thing." If you like any of Rick Springfield's music, especially his stuff from the past 10 years, don't let the "country" label scare you off. This is good stuff.

Rick has done it again. Another great album that unfortunately will be overlooked by the mainstream. The people saying that Rick has gone country are completely missing the boat. Sure he has incorporated some instruments more closely associated with country or blue grass (mandolin, fiddle, etc.), but this is still a rock album with superb guitar riffs. The depth and variety of Rick's songwriting continues to grow, as does the overall sound quality of his albums. Give it a listen, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I absolutely love this cd. It has an eclectic style to it. Some songs have a country feel and others are pure Rick with a rock edge and style. The bonus tracks on the cd are well worth it too. Some of my favorite songs are "Miss Mayhem", "Let Me In", "That One", "Walkin In", and "Crowded Solitude." A must have for any Rick Springfield fan.

Classic Rick - very catchy songs like what we're used to. Yes it is Nashville - tinged but that's not completely new to Rick's repertoire. I would've liked more crunchy guitars but that's my preference. These songs could've totally been straight rock songs but with the musical terrain these days - it makes total sense. Buy it and enjoy it!

Some people may not appreciate Rick Springfield's latest attempt, especially those who only know him for the hit "Jessie's Girl". However, I found Rocket Science a nice, different sound. His voice and musicianship have held up well, as has his songwriting. If you're a big RS fan, you'll probably like it.

Don't get me wrong, this album has some great tracks. in fact, some of the tunes just downright rock! But, there are some mellow tracks with a little bit of country sound going on. Not that this is a bad thing, but it's just not my thing. Overall, it's definitely a good buy.

Rick Springfield created a wonderful new music magic. It rocks and it's sweet. It's reminiscent and new. It's nostalgic and novel. I love it and have bought it as a gift for non fans who really liked it too. A must buy!

Purchased this cd hoping to hear something new and fresh from Rick and i was not disappointed. This is a great mix of rock combined with a little country. Hoping to hear more CD's like this from him.

This is one of Rick Springfield's best CD yet. Awesome and amazing. Deserves a Grammy and record of the year. Every song is so good and wonderful. He always amazes me and gets better and better.
