It's an optical audio cable that simply gets the job done. I have had no issues with it since I connected my soundbar, in terms of audio quality or audio/video synchronization. The only thing I would recommend is checking your audio needs before deciding to go with optical vs HDMI. Apparently, you may lose some functionality with regard to different sound modes and equalizer functions when connecting a soundbar, even if both products are from the same manufacturer. So, before you purchase ANY optical audio cable, do a bit of research regarding your TV and soundbar. I looked into it, and have decided to switch to HDMI, just as soon as I do the research and determine the optimal cable manufacturer and model.

It was the easiest plug & play setup ever as I literally connected the wire, plugged in the soundbar and subwoofer to electrical outlets, and the TV immediately detected the soundbar as an audio source, So if you have an older TV with no eARC connection get yourself this inexpensive optical cable and enjoy crystal clear audio for yourself!
