I recently got my hands on the Rocketfish 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Certified Cable, and I have to say, it’s been a great addition to my home entertainment. Here are my thoughts. *Key Features* 8K and 4K Support: This cable works perfectly with 4K video at 120Hz. It's also rated at 60Hz for 8K video. It’s great for my new TV and Xbox gaming console with Variable refresh rate. The high bandwidth of up to 48Gbps means I get smooth and clear video without any interruptions on my 4K Ultra HD Player and my streaming unit. After installing this cable, I finally feel like I'm getting the best sound and video for my home theater. *Certified Quality* Since it’s an HDMI 2.1 certified cable, I know it meets the latest standards. It supports features like eARC, VRR, and ALLM, which are important for the best performance. *Better Audio and Video* The cable supports Dynamic HDR and Dolby Vision, which makes the colors look amazing and the contrast has deep blacks. It also works with advanced audio formats like Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, so the sound is fantastic. *Durable Design* The Rocketfish cable is built to last. It has gold-plated connectors that resist corrosion and ensure a stable connection. The sturdy construction helps reduce signal loss and interference. It's also wall rated if you want to run it through a wall without losing quality. When I compared it to my last HDMI cable, this Rocketfish cable is a real heavyweight next to it. I can see the difference. *Performance* I’ve been really happy with how this cable performs. It delivers high-quality video and audio consistently. Whether I’m gaming or watching movies, everything looks and sounds great. There’s no lag or drop in quality, which is impressive. *Pros* High Bandwidth: Supports up to 48Gbps, so it’s ready for the future. Certified Reliability: HDMI 2.1 certification means it’s reliable. Great Audio and Video: Supports the latest HDR and audio formats such as Dynamic HDR, DTS Master, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos Strong Build: Durable with gold-plated connectors. *Cons* It might not be in your price category, but you can see the difference in quality and build. Conclusion: Overall, I think the Rocketfish 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Certified Cable is worth the investment. It offers excellent performance and build quality. If you’re looking to upgrade your home theater or gaming setup, this cable is a solid choice.

I was looking for a long, high-quality, HDMI cable that I could use in my indoor cycling setup to feed from my laptop to my TV which is about 10 feet away. I needed something that could handle the bare minimum of 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and also future proof to handle 120 fps and higher. Being that cycling training apps are essentially games running on high powered graphics engines, they’re starting to pump out some higher-quality graphics as well as higher frame rates. Right now, I'm using it at 4K/60 as that's the highest resolution that's supported on my training app but have to imagine that these will only increase over time, so it's nice to have something that will support higher resolutions/frame rates with updates. The quality of the cable is fantastic from the gold-plated connectors to the cable itself. I’ve noticed that some higher quality cables are very stiff but this actually has more flex to it than I was expecting, which is a good thing where it can actually fit around corners a bit better than others. Fantastic cable and highly recommended!

The Rocketfish 15’ 8K ultra high speed HDMI Cable is what you need if you’re looking for the latest specs to connect your devices. As far as build quality goes the Rocketfish 8k HDMI cable is a premium cable. The terminal ends are nice looking with the logo on them and the cable is thick due to it being in wall rated and shielded. The cable body is made up of high quality zinc alloy. Although you will never see this cable as it’ll live behind your electronic components it’s good to know it is built with quality. As far as the video specifications goes the Rocketfish 8k support 48 Gbps bandwidth. This HDMI cable also supports 4K @ 120Hz, 8K @ 60Hz and up to 10K. It also supports Dynamic HDR, VRR and QFT. Audio specifications include DTS Master, DTS:X and Dolby TrueHD/Atmos and of course eARC. With all that said I have the Rocketfish 8K HDMI cable installed to my LG OLED connected through the eARC to my Denon AVR and the picture & sound are phenomenal. Since the cable is in wall rated I have them going through the walls behind my TV/media cabinet for a clean look. Overall if you’re looking for high quality HDMI cables to support your newer electronics I’d recommend the Rocketfish 8K for sure.

I have been on a journey recently trying to get the right HDMI cable for my home entertainment setup that actually suits my needs. I have a 4K OLED TV and a 4K Apple TV unit that I could just not seem to get the proper cable combination for in order to get the benefits of both HDMI Arc and a full 4K Dolby Vision picture. 3 cables later, I am pleased finally be using this cable and to know that what I have is a cable that is essentially future proof for the next 5-10 years. It is an 8K 48gbps cable, which means that this in-wall certified cable will be up to the task of providing in-wall certified connection as 8K televisions start to proliferate in the next years, and I eventually acquire one. This cable is pricey, but trust me, it is far cheaper compared to some out there. There are legitimately HDMI cables that run in the hundreds and THOUSANDS of dollar ranges. I would say this cable is an excellent balance of price to performance and is far and above any flimsy HDMI cable you are going to get included with a Blu-ray player or gaming console. 5 out of 5 stars for sure for finally being the cable to solve my connection issues and that will keep me supplied in gorgeous pixels and device control for years to come!

THIS… Is Rocketfish’s (a BestBuy brand) 15’ 8k 48gbps HDMI cable and YES it is EXPENSIVE and yes it is probably…too expensive… however! What this cable does, it does exceptionally well. It supports 4k @ 120hz and 8k at 60hz… you only get this on certified 2.1 cables which means all your PC’s, PS5’s and Xbox X’s need this cable if you plan on playing in 8k or 120hz. On top of that, this cable is certified for in wall instillation, Variable Refresh Rate (looking at the new PS5 Pro and PC’s), Dynamic HDR, and quick frame transport. Essentially, if you need the absolute best cable to run your brand new TV that you just hooked up to your brand new entertainment center then this is probably where you should be looking. With all the bells and whistles while also having a lifetime warranty… look no further! It supports everything and your kitchen sink while being able to roll on down to bestbuy if it doesn't and get it replaced. Especially as the HDMI cable gets longer, in my experience, I have ran into several issues with the cable being DOA or having a shorter lifespan. If you have already checked out because the cable is expensive, I get it, but when you spent several thousands of dollars on a brand new setup, the last thing you want to get is a cable that is not certified and degrading your image. Looking at the cable physically, you can tell it is well made and can take the test of time as this cable is one of the thickest one’s I have seen and for good reason - being in wall rated is a big deal and backing it with a lifetime warranty means that this cable has to be able to take the heat and deter and interference it may come into. While this has been a rather ranty review, I cannot stress enough how important a good HDMI or DP cable is in ensuring that you are watching the quality that you are paying for. As always the best part of buying a BestBuy branded product is that BestBuy will stand behind it if anything goes wrong you never have to worry about getting another bum HDMI cable again. Best Buy also has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like so you might as well give it a go on your brand new setup!

I’ve been wanting to replace the HDMI cable in our home theater for a while now. It’s been in the wall since 2010, and while it’s still working, I wanted something that would give us the best possible signal quality and compatibility with any new devices we might get in the future. The first thing you notice when you unbox this cable is how well it’s shielded. This means it won’t have any issues being used in the wall or in a crowded home theater area. I attached the new cable to my old one and fished it through the wall. It didn’t take long at all. I had the cable replaced and the wall plates secured in a few minutes. We’re currently using everything between a Sony Soundbar, a Vivo TV, and our Apple TV 4K. We also have a Blu-ray player, but we hardly use it. In this room, we occasionally run a PS5 and Xbox Series X. Everything looks great, and our Apple TV was able to scan and check if everything was compatible, passing as expected. Now we’re confident that the cable will be able to deliver the signal quality we need no matter what other AV gear we end up upgrading to in the future.

I needed a longer Ultra High Speed HDMI cable to go from my 4k 240hz monitor to my new laptop since both are on mounts and the arms have cable management which makes for many twists and turns going from one point to the other. I’ve used other Rocketfish cables in the past and have never been disappointed with them. This one is thick, sturdy, and has nice gold-plated heavy-duty plugs. Everything works perfectly on my computer outputting to my gaming monitor. I get the full HDR, high refresh, and 4k resolution with no issues whatsoever. Whenever I unplug to take my laptop with me somewhere, I am reminded that this cable is clearly well built and seems obvious that it will last a long time. The only issue for a situation like mine is the thickness of the cable can make it very difficult to work with as it does not want to bend or twist at all. However, that is also what makes it in-wall rated so it’ll depend on your personal use case. As mentioned, my other Rocketfish cables are a couple years old and have never let me down once so I’m confident there will be no differences with this version. Highly recommended.

So, I was skeptical if this would help out and make a difference or not. I got used to using a cheap HDMI cable hooked up from Xbox to TV and thought it looked nice. But getting this to try and definitely made the pictures a lot clearer. I also like that it is 15' so I can run it to my laptop if I want. I like that its braided as well. My oldest son also was impressed at how much difference it made. He keeps taking it to use with his setup for his ps5. I could not see too much of a difference though it not on a 4k tv or monitor. I have a regular HD monitor (1920x1080) in my room that I use and did not see a difference with that which I was not really expecting that. But for my TV that only has 4k it definitely made a difference. Sadly, I do not have an 8k monitor or TV to try this on. But gaming feels a lot better now in 4k. This allows you to be able to play at 120hz when allowed. Like I said, I feel it is worth picking up and recommend it if you do have a 4k TV/monitor. If not, I did not see a difference. The length is plenty long to reach.

    This cable does the job!

I have bought many devices, adapters, cables, converters from Rocketfish, and have never had any issue or complain. This brand has proved its value and this cable is just as great. I have a Sony Bravia OLED TV with HDMI 8k port, as well as a Sony soundbar 8K, and a Sony Blu Ray 8K as well. For a while I had many issues with the video resolution, flickering, or sometimes just no video at all on some Blu ray movies. Eventually I discovered that the Soundbar’s ARC port was very picky with the HDMI cables I was using, even if they stated they were 8k 2.1. On top of that, sometimes the Soundbar didn’t turn on when I turned on the TV. Length was also another issue, because my TV is located on the wall, a little high, and the Soundbar is on top of a very low TV stand, so there is a considerable distance between these two. Finally, I ended up buying an expensive Sony HDMI 2.1 cable, but it ended right at the edge (Sony didn’t have longer ones at that time), so if I moved the soundbar or TV even by a little bit, the HDMI cable got disconnected. However, the issues were resolved with the Sony Cable, proving that all the issues were related to the quality and specs of a 8k HDMI cable that I should use. This Rocket Fish cable, with the 15 feet length, does the job beautifully. At the beginning I was concerned that it might be too long to support 8k with 48Gbps bandwidth, but it works. I have clear and excellent resolution videos and movies. I think that it works even better than the HDMI Sony brand cable I bought. Before, with Disney plus, I had some weird shadow or lack of brightness in some movies. For a long time I thought it may be caused by streaming issues, either the internet provider, the Modem, or the Router. And I have my TV connection wired over ethernet cable to the router. But since I replaced the HDMI cable with this Rocktfish, those video resolution issues are gone. On top of that I have now enough cable length to accommodate my Soundbar without being worried to accidentally disconnect them. I am very satisfied with this cable, and I want to get two more for my Nintendo Switch and Blu Ray to guarantee that they’re using the 8k 48Gbps video resolution.

I was able to use this cable in a home entertainment setup where my high refresh rate TV required a high bandwidth connection for proper 4:2:2 color and high refresh (180Hz) 4K connections. I lack an 8K TV to test at higher resolutions but with the bandwidth demonstrated by the connection scenario I put this through, I believe this cable could handle anything. These RocketFish products are very high performance oriented, but my only criticism of the cable would be its industrial design. It seems like something out of late 90s/Early 00s Monster - From the electronic-store-of-old aesthetic. It harkens back to the days where gold plated contacts and advanced looking cable with silver molded ends would fetch a higher premium for the “cool” vibe. I was worried when I got this that I was getting a white-labeled knockoff of one of those cheap wannabe products due to this design. In reality, the cable connected everything I threw at it. Despite its gaudy look, it handled both my TV and a gaming PC I tested with and provided full bandwidth connections with no issues. I personally wish for a version with more understated, professional styling in black on black, but for the money, this is my new standard cabinet cable to future-proof my home AV setup.

    Strong and durable HDMI cable

When you're purchasing an HDMI cable (or any sort of cable, really), the first thing you want to consider is how you plan to use it. If you want a cable to put in your laptop bag, you might consider things like weight and abiity to coil tightly. On the other hand, if you want a cable to run through your wall as part of a permanent install, you want something rather different - you want something thick and durable regardless of weight, something that will LAST in a permanent installation. You also want something that has a bit more "stiffness" to it, to make it easier to feed through the wall conduit or air gap between studs. And you want something with a good length to ensure you have a good amount of cable left on both sides to make whatever connections you want. In short, you want something that you can run the first time and leave it for a long time - including being at least somewhat future proof in capabilities. This particular Rocketfish cable checks ALL those boxes for an in-wall installation - it's a HEAVY duty cable clearly meant for a long-term installation and rated for in wall duty (which is important). It certainly can flex to accomodate being run through a wall but also can hold up to being fed through that wall. And it's the highest spec of HDMI currently available so while nothing in technology is truly future-proof, this cable does give you some good headroom to grow in the future (it supports bandwidth to 48Gbps which is sufficient for high framerate 4K or 60Hz 8K with other goodies like HDR turned on so you should get a number of years of use out of it). Beyond that, it's a generous length at 15ft (though of course measure to make sure that it's long enough for your purposes with some left over at both ends if you do plan an in-wall installation). And of course it works as advertised - run the cable, plug in both ends and it works just like it should. So there you have it - a top notch heavy duty in-wall HDMI cable meant for the long haul. If that sounds good to you, give it a try today!

I have always wanted to mount my TV to the wall to have it floating, but I hate seeing cables running down the wall. I had been looking for a good way to route some cables in the wall that would be future-proof so I wouldn’t have to do it again for a very long time! Along came the Rocketfish cable. Right out of the box you can tell this is a very premium cable. It is nice and thick and the ends are very high quality. I don’t have an 8K TV (yet) but I want to be ready for whenever I do get one. I do have devices that take advantage of Dolby Atmos, and 4K video as well as having a PS5 and things like which really benefit from a high end cable that can handle high data transfer rates. I got a couple of these and ran them inside my wall from my TV down to my sound bar (yes they are rated for in wall use). Since they are kind of rigid, they were very easy to fish through the wall. I hooked them up to my sound bar and Apple TV and they worked perfectly. Dolby Atmos was firing on all cylinders and the 4K video looked very crisp and clear. I even hooked up my PS5 to one of them and had absolutely no problems running very demanding games. I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting some premium HDMI cables for your home theater. Especially if you want to run them in your wall. They cant be beat!

I received the Rocketfish15' 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Certified Cable. This is a very thick, strong and durable cable. I don't see it ever being damaged by anything any time soon. The cord works great. Beautiful picture quality, no issues, and at all. The Rocketfish15' 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable is certified Ultra High Speed and offers incredible 4K at 120 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz. It features a fast bandwidth speed of 48 Gbps for flawless picture quality and certified in-wall use. HDMI Cable Works great. If anyone is looking for and HDMI cable for TV or also your computer this is definitely a good one to go with. It also works great if you are wanting to watch Content on a TV or Computer Screen that is capable of HDR. Excellent 8k even for a 4k TV because the transfer speeds are greater than a 4K cable. Plus the gold plated ends make the connection and information transfer better than any other material. Rocketfish is a great brand, Quality construction. I would definately recommend to anyone who is looking for a good quality, high speed HDMI cable.

I have an 8K TV but didn't realize i should have upgraded my HDMI awhile ago. This is absolutely made for inside the wall connection if needed. It's a strong and well put together cable. Once I connected this to my Samsung TV and soundbar, I saw and heard an immediate improvement. Picture has never looked better. Not only did it improve my picture, but so did my audio especially with my surround sound speakers. Some of the highlights include 48Gbps which creates bigger bandwith. It creates and maintains excellent refresh rates for both 120 and 60hz. It is also rated as HDMI Ultra High Speed and it certainly shows. It also allows for Dynamic HDR. It supports Dolby True Sound and Dolby Atmos. Those who are familiar with Dolby Atmos, you will absolutely appreciate the updated sound. This particular cable provides 15 feet of length. Rocketfish has been a reliable brand, and this cable is no different. They seem to always keep up with the latest trends most importantly technology-wise. I would definitely recommend getting one if available.

The Rocketfish Ultra High Speed HDMI CABLE was easy to set up. Unplugged my 4k cable and replaced it with the 8k cable. First want to mention the quality of the cable. Made of excellent materials and appears to be very sturdy. In addition to this, my tv was able to immediately go into a different view. Meaning the quality of the picture immediate changed upon viewing movies, videos, and shows. There was a cleaner and crisper look while viewing. The audio was great and could tell it was enhanced. I do agree with the box that it came in that the cable does provide a higher quality video, bandwidth, and nice color contrast. It was compatible with the hdmi port that is in my bluray, in addition to the current tv that I'm using. So far all is good. I would recommend this product to others. The mere fact that the cable was easy to install, and immediately saw results while viewing sports, movies, and more. Would recommend. So far no cons to the cable. My favorite part of installing this cable was the fact that when viewing the screen, the colors were brought more to life. Thank you for the opportunity to review this product. It was my pleasure.

The Rocketfish 8K HDMI cable boasts excellent build quality, making it feel durable and premium right out of the box. The connectors are solid, and the cable itself feels well-insulated, with a sleek design that screams high quality. It's a future-proof cable, supporting 8K resolution and the latest in HDMI technology, making it technically suitable for the most demanding setups. However, despite its impressive specifications, the high price tag is hard to justify. For gamers or TV enthusiasts, the actual improvement in picture or gaming performance is almost negligible. When using the cable with a 4K or even 8K TV, there’s little to no noticeable difference in image quality or refresh rate compared to far less expensive alternatives. This makes it difficult to recommend unless you’re focused solely on having the most robust hardware available. In short, while the Rocketfish 8K HDMI cable is undoubtedly a high-quality product, it doesn't significantly enhance the viewing or gaming experience—and at its price point, it feels like overkill for most users. If you’re looking for a premium build and future-proofing, it might be worth considering, but for everyday use, there are more cost-effective options that perform just as well.
