I have purchased these in the past to protect my Martin Logan speakers but one was broken by painters. This model is smaller but serves the same purpose to protect.

I wanted to have some surge protection for our subwoofer since it's not near to our entertainment power center and this little guy serves the purpose well and for a very low price tag.
