||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Packaging and advertisement on the box leads you to believe that this product will allow you to split your HDMI signal in such a way that will allow you to use an older receiver that doesn't support 3D, for example, with a tv or projector that is 3D capable. However, it doesn't. If you try to use it as previously described, the splitter will only output at the lowest resolution of the components running through it...meaning since the receiver is, in this case, the lowest resolution device, the splitter will pass through the sound, but there will only be an image of what the receiver is capable of displaying. In other words no 3D. If your receiver is only capable of 1080i resolution, then you can only have up to 1080i resolution. Very misleading....had to return.
