need more outlets or set farther apart for larger plugs to fit over one and not two

This protector has a 6 foot whip on the end which is what I was looking for.

No matter how I tried to insert standard plugs into it side by side, they just did not fit into the socket well. If the unit would have given an extra 1/8 inch per socket, the unit would better take standard plugs side by side and be able to use all the sockets it offers.

I like this surge protector because it has a master on switch and several ports are on all the time

This past Friday we had a power surge at our house and several things died, however nothing that was plugged into the surge protector: LED TV, XBox, PS3, Wii, Bluray player, Cable Box, and Computer. The only thing that I am sad about is that my surge protector died in the process. We had another {cheap} surge protector that did not save the items plugged into it, so I don't know if it was luck or design, but this one did its job wonderfully! The power saving feature is great, and it has definitely extended the life of my Gen 1 PS3. Worked flawlessly for 5 years, and sacrificed itself to save all of my equipment. I will definitely be buying another one with my insurance claim money.

I purchased this surge protector after losing a PC after several power surges. My old protector didn't do the job. The Rocketfish - 7-Outlet Surge Protector was on sale and had extras that I didn't think of when I was looking. Best buy salesperson steered me toward this one and Very happy.

I bought this because the HDMI CEC between my Samsung TV, Yamaha receiver and Phillips Blu Ray player wont play nice together. The TV and receiver power off at the same time, but left the Blu Ray player on. Using the receiver as the master power source the Blu Ray player and subwoofer are completely unpowered and using no electricity until I power up the receiver again. I will be buying more of these.
