Needed a new power cord for my Sony subwoofer. Managed to accidentally nick the original cord when the vacuum pulled it in and exposed part of the wires. Easily ordered this upgraded cord from Best Buy. Now I'm taking a minute to leave a review since there wasn't any when I got mine. Know that this new cord from Rocketfish comes in polarized and non-polarized, I needed the non-polarized (cord end is equally rounded on both sides) which is the more common version in my house. This cord is substantially better than the original. At 8ft in length, it is at least as thick a gauge cable (18 gauge) as the original and as a bonus, it's wrapped in a fabric that adds a nice texture. Similar to a shoelace welded on or into the cord itself. I plugged it in and it works as good as the original cord. When plugged in, it holds tight and does not feel loose. Cord is a little stiff, but bendable and can lay flat. Cord is also more flat than round. Even if you don't need one right away, these are good to have on hand as so many tech companies use these to power so many various devices. Having a spare ready just in case, like me, you ruin one accidentally might be worth it when things go on sale. So far, great cord with nothing to complain about. Just works. Make sure to check your cord before ordering as there are 2 common versions of this cable.

It's a universal power cable. What else is there to say? You can use it to power just about any PlayStation console, from the original to the PS5 Pro. There's probably other use cases, but that's the one I'm most familiar with. Admittedly, this one is lovely. It's got a flat, braided cable. It's not going to get shredded or frayed or destroyed very easily, and you can do some solid cable management, thanks to it being slim. It's also 8 feet long, so if your plug is far away from the device of your choice, you should be able to work something out. The wall plug itself has a kind of rounded shape, rather than a blocky one, so it's got a distinct look when it's in the wall. Probably not the best conversation starter or anything, but if you care about aesthetic of your plugs, this is certainly an option. Aside from that, there's not much to be said. It delivers power from the wall to my PS3 and PS4 without issue. There wasn't anything cool in the package (aside form the cable itself), there wasn't an instruction manual. Just a cable in a box. Not that it should really need any instructions, anyway. I imagine this will be a long lasting cable. Would recommend if you want something high quality.

OK, where to start for a 1000 charecter review for an non-polarized power cord? Well, let's start with the brand, Rocketfish. Rocketfish is a brand owned by Best Buy. Much like Insignia and Best Buy Essentials that offer quality products at competetive pricing, Rocketfish aims for a more premium product, but is still competitively priced. This product fits that sweet-spot perfectly. It has a great quality build, and premium feel, yet priced to be easily adpted to any budget. As for the power cord itself, both ends (wall plug and female device plug), feel high quality, and substaantial. The cord itself, is braided (as more premium cords tend to be), and has an upper-end look and feel. The power cord is eight feet long, so more than your typical off-the-shelf competitors. It is made with 18 gauge (AWG) copper, so that is certainy suitable to move the power safely and freeley. It's engineered for 7 amps at 125 volts, so applicable everything from portable speakers, TV's, and even many small appliances. End of the day, this is a great choice, and compliant most any budget, all while providing a more premium feel than others.

I needed a new power cord for my ps5 since I moved it to a different spot on my pc/ps5 battle station. The he surge protector was located on the far opposite side of my L shaped desk. I have a 45 inch oled monitor for my PC and. QD oled 32 inch on the opposite side for my PS5/switch. The he power cord that comes with the ps5 is kind of short and I decided to try this rocket fish brained power cord and it looks and feels nice. I mean no one will ever know that I have the nicest power cord but I know and it works perfectly and is not an off brand name item that you never know what damage it might cause. It’s plenty long and doesn’t not cost much. I e bought several rocketfish items in the past and never had issues. I believe it is owned by Bestbuy. But not 100% sure. But I am sure it will last for years and I won’t have to replace. I believe they sell smaller variants as well and if you don’t need a super long power cord. And they probably even cheaper than this one. Again it’s just a power cord but it works, it’s cheap and it’s braided if that matters.

Review of rocketFish Braided Power Cord (non-polarized) The power cord is a braided version, 8ft long, 18 gauge, non-polarized. It has electrical rating 125VAC 7A, 875W. At first on hand it looks and feel very differently compared to the normal pic materials. Then from cable management perspective, it feels that is easy to wrap for traveling compared to the regular ones. Lighter and simple. It doesn’t take that bit of stress exists using the non-braided versions. In term of the power usage couldn’t tell many differences compared to non-braided versions. Having said that, one would not tell what big deal about power cable is but if the user is the one that care of cable organizing or for someone at the moment of trip, such differences come to attention. The, the only thing I wished it also have, it would have included the cable wrap as it fell alike a premium cable. Aside of that, it is very recommendable for whom care of little details in between and will make thing a bit easier.

BACKGROUND: I required a longer power cord for a new sound-bar sub-woofer that came with a very short 4-foot cord. This Rocketfish 8-footer is just what I needed allowing me to repositing the sub in more suitable location. QUALITY: The construction is 18 AWG gauge wire, 7-amp rating, is soft touch braided, and this version I required is non-polarized (Hot & Neutral positioning does not matter). The most notable feature being the extended 8ft length. The braid is a nice marketing touch, but once this cord is in place, doubtful it matters to anyone. Note: Rocketfish does market this cord in a Polarized version for those who require polarization of their electronic equipment. PRICING: I believe the current price is somewhat on the higher end. Therefore, I would suggest waiting for sale pricing unless you need one immediately. SHIPPING: Finally, I must mention this item was shipped to me only in a thin envelop without padding. And that shipping envelope was evidently insufficient for UPS Ground services who crushed the packaging box. Since this item was just a power cord without delicate internal electronics, it did survive UPS’ machine and/or human manhandling. For those picking up directly from a store, this should not be an issue. For those who order online for home delivery, just be aware. Since most of us just toss the box, it probably does not matter for an item such as this. .

A couple of weeks ago, we discovered that the detachable power cable to an older TV we had was missing. We planned on gifting this TV to someone because it still worked just fine, but without the power cable, it was useless. So, we ordered this Rocketfish cable as a replacement. It worked just fine as a replacement and, as it turns out, it was actually better because of it being braided. The braided design not only adds durability but also gives the cord a more premium feel. It resists fraying and handles wear and tear better than a standard rubber-coated cable. It also looks a lot cleaner when routed along a wall or behind furniture. Now, I will say that the 8-foot length seems a bit excessive for a simple TV power cord, but what it does is keep me from having to use an extension, which is great when you want to mount a TV on the wall. It’s also a lot easier to wrap up since it doesn’t get tangled. That extra length ended up being more helpful than expected, especially in a space where outlets aren’t conveniently placed. It seems to work really well and could be used for a variety of items since it’s a universal power cable. I’ve already tested it with a few other devices around the house and it performed exactly as expected. If you have a device with a standard figure-8 connector, this cable is a reliable and simple fix.

Rocketfish is known to create premium consumer electronic products. I have used their TV mounts, HDMI switch boxes, and different types of cabling. This Rocketfish Non-Polarized Braided Power Cord is no different. It feels premium and is a great replacement power cord. In the box, you get the 8ft braided power cable and that’s it. Simply plug-and-play. I used this replacement power cord to replace my OEM PS5 power cord. However, it is compatible with many other electronics, like the power cords for those external power supplies that monitors have. The Rocketfish power cord is longer and braided, which is a significant step-up from the PS5 OEM power cord. This power cord is also UL Certified, which certifies that this cable is safe and reliable. (You don’t have to worry about it suddenly catching on fire!) There is a basic plastic twist tie included, but at this price point, it wouldn’t have hurt to have included a Velcro or rubber cable tie for cable management. Besides this minor complaint, this power cable is perfect! Overall, this is an excellent replacement power cord for your electronic devices. Rocketfish also sells a polarized version of this cable, which is different from this one. Please verify you are buying the correct one. If you are in need of a replacement power cord for your PS5 or other electronics, this is a premium replacement that is on the pricier end, but it does go on sale every once in a while. When that happens, buy it!

When I was looking for cords, I also needed one that was not polarized for when I travel to certain countries (like JAPAN) where the polarized plugs might not fit. Polarized plugs have one prong bigger than the other so that it can only be plugged in one way to an outlet. There are some safety reasons for polarized plugs, but in practice since the other end (that goes to the power brick) can be inserted either way, you don't have that assurance anyway. The replacement cord is cool because it is braided which makes it easier to bend in tight spaces and very flexible. Even though it is 8 ft in length it does not take up much room in a suit case. I will probably pick up another cord so that when I'm traveling I need one less adapter. RECOMMENDATION In short I recommend this plug they have both Polarized and Non-Polarized versions for you to choose from and it is a good value overall.

Rocketfish made a nice quality power cord. My first time really getting a replacement cord for a game system. Hard to believe since I’ve been gaming for over 30 years. This is to replace the power cord for my PS5 since the OG cord is only 5’ long. Also, I think Braided cords are so much better. Still confused why in this day and age all manufacturers are not making braided cords. Well, not really confused I’m sure it’s cheaper that way. This Rocketfish cable is 8’ long , 18 ga, and braided with a 7amp rating. Very sturdy and gives me the distance I was looking for with my TV to move it where I wanted it. That 3’ difference, make a HUGE difference. Being braided also offers more flexibility to manuever the cable where you need it. No issues with bending or anything. Works great so far and I do not forsee any issues. Even if I wasn’t looking for something longer I would still advise getting this as an ugrade to the original OEM parts is never a bad thing…if it is indeed an ugrade like this is. Yes I recommend this product!

Lets face it, it's hard to keep track of SO MANY power cords around the house. I know that for me, one or two always come up missing. Luckily, Best Buy and Rocketfish has us covered. During our last move, I had a power cord come up missing for our large Bluetooth speaker that we use for all family gatherings. We looked everywhere, but nothing. Good thing for me was that I got the opportunity to try the Rocketfish™ - Rocketfish - 8 ft. Non-Polarized Braided Power Cord. This cord feels like really good quality stuff. I was worried that it would be loose-fitting like some other cords that I have tried in the past. The Rocketfish™ - Rocketfish - 8 ft. Non-Polarized Braided Power Cord fit nice and tight in the speaker and got the job done. Another major plus for me was the fact that this was an eight foot cord, as opposed to the smaller original six-foot cord that the speaker came with. We were always struggling trying to reach an outlet with the old cord. So, if you find yourseld in my situation, or one similiar, Best Buy and Rocketfish have you covered.
