I’m an electronics engineer so I was a little sceptical of the “no tools easy termination”. But they have held up just fine for many months now

This a great set of banana plugs. The wire installation was much simpler and easier than I thought it would be. They also feel like they are of decent quality.

I'm using 14 gauge Monster speaker wire and these connectors are easy to attach to the wire. I am getting quality sound from my speakers.

These feel very high quality. This makes installation and switching of audio equipment a breeze. Where have these been all my life?

This is the second pack of 5 purchased from BB. I bought a previous pack from Fry’s and I prefer to use these. They don’t feel cheap and make great strong connections without even having to strip the wire ends. They use a compression ring to squeeze the wire and hold it firmly in place while the internal probe makes contact with the wire down the center. I will buy them again when I run out.

These plugs were moderately easy to install. Instructions could have been a little clearer.

I have worked in the electronics industry for many years and, the only way to find a banana plug that is a great fit; and has a great design for attaching to your wire is trial and error. I was one of the lucky few that I found Rocketfish on my second purchase. Actually, I have to hand it to my wife, as she went to the store for the purchase. The way the pin slides into the unstripped wire is the key. There is no way to have a loose piece of wire to make contact with another. Thanks guys for the simplicity and complete connection every time.

I have not had any issues with these Banana Plugs. They were easy to install and work as expected. Sound is great!

Once these are connected, they are great. They did seem to take a bit more effort than I expected to get onto the speaker wire. You unscrew the plug first to separate it into a back piece and the front plug piece. Next, slip the back piece over the end of the unstripped speaker wire. Then a small compression fitting is slid over the end of the speaker wire (this is a bit tough as it is quite tight). I suppose the ease of slipping the compression piece onto the wire will be a function of the wire sheath -- mine is a very "soft, rubbery, high-friction" sheath, hence the difficulty. Then the tip of the speaker wire must be inserted into the back of the plug half, and aligned such that a small pin (inside the plug half) is inserted into the middle of the wire. The two halves of the banana plug are then screwed together to complete the install. Following install of 10 of these things for my 5.1 system, my fingertips were sore from all forceful manipulation. Install of the plugs into the back of my AV Receiver, however, was awesome (simply push them in).

Good banana plugs to use for connection of speakers to your receiver. Better than trying to stick wires in a terminal strip hole and tightening down. You have to use these carefully cause if you install the wires without paying attention they will come out easy so don't loose the collars that come with them.

These are really good quality plugs. As others have written, some part of the box instructions don't make sense. But excluding that 1 gaffe, install instructions are easy to follow & straightforward. No issues at all getting a good tight connection (won't easily get loose). Price is a little high, but for a one-time purchase for years of use, not a problem.

These plugs are fantastic, the centerpins make it so you no longer have to strip wire, as they basically drill right down the center of the cable while simultaneous locking it into place. All you need is to cut the cable evenly and split it about 2 inches or so. The first time you plug them in is difficult and requires a hard press, but then bends the wide tip to fit and helps anchor it to the speaker or system making it more difficult to be accidently pulled out. Worth every penny.

I bought these expecting they'd be simple to set up and make wiring my surround sound easier. They did just that. Setting the wires correctly was a little bumpy, but it's not that bad. They work great and now I don't have to thread bare wires through the audio posts on the back of the amp anymore. Banana plugs just need pushed into the posts and you're good to go.
