10 bucks is 10 bucks and why pay more? This monitor mount is exactly what you need to get that monitor off your desk without paying the premiums that other manufacturers charge. PROS Heavy-duty metal construction and easy template make mounting this bracket simple enough for those who know their way around a drill, level and screwdriver. CONS The installation is not for the easily intimidated. Just follow steps and it goes up, in about an hour, but there are instructions for wood and cement so only look at what sections of the directions you need. The biggest drawback is the distance the collapsed scissor-jack stands off the wall. If the salesperson doesn't tell you, consider yourself noted, it sits a full 4" off the wall WITHOUT your monitor attached. In my case, the face of my monitor is 6" off the wall. This wasn't an issue for me but can be a consideration for others. Conclusion Everyone is tired of our monitors taking up "creative space" on our desks and this bracket does exactly what it needs to although the installation is not for neophytes. In addition, it is big enough to hold any 2nd monitor (up to 39"!!!) just in case you've got one of those 4K monitors on your wishlist.

I bought this for holding my 32" Samsung TV. I bought a different one months earlier and it did not have the right size screws. Knowing nothing of screws at that time I returned it and later went to Best Buy to buy one with a larger variety of screws. This one was $50 more than the other. I could have just learned about metric screws and gone to the hardware store and got the right size screws and the other would probably have worked. The salesman told me that he thought this one would have all I needed for my Samsung. It had the right width screw just not long enough. I bought the right length screw for $2 at the hardware and got it on the wall. I love it. Its sturdy and easy to install. Finding the stud was the hardest part. Just measure from the corner of the wall, the stud finder was worthless.

Pretty easy install. Only needed to review instructions on couple of steps. Picked a spot, found nearest stud, drilled, and hung on wall. Price is a little less than other full motion wall mounts. I have another more expensive full motion wall mount. On other mount, I am able to move the TV around with ease and it stays locked in place really well. With this mount, you tighten some of the screws so they are "loose" but not "too loose". This allows you to move TV in full motion. If you need to move this mount fairly often, I could see the screws needing to be tightened ever so often to keep TV in place. I don't plan on moving this TV as often, so I feel like I made the right choice by paying a little less and losing some of the full motion easy compared to my more expensive other mount.

Bought this mount when I upgraded my 5th wheel TV to a 40". I wanted an articulating mount since my mounting location is at an angle downstairs so I could swing it out for better viewing. The VESA mounting worked fine for the TV I bought even though its larger then what the mount calls for. My only downside is there's no way to lock the mount in place for traveling which I did know about so I just take the TV off for traveling. I will probably use this mount upstairs and get a different mount for my downstairs 40" that has more articulation reach and can support the weight better. But Best Buy is cheaper then 5th wheel mounts and the slight inconvienece of taking the tv on and off for traveling is worth the cost savings. I just bought a long machine screw for the mount to make it easier.

    Defective a second time

I would not but this mount. Quality seemed ok and install was easy. However, after getting the TV on the mount and trying to adjust the tilt, I noticed the TV tilt would not tighten enough to hold the TV appropriately. The TV always is tilted down towards the floor. I returned the mount and got another one thinking the one I had first was defective. However, the second mount did the same thing. The tilt mechanism on this mount needs to be redesigned. Don't get this mount. See attached picture.

We got this to mount a 32" TV in a very small guest bedroom that didn't have enough room for a tv stand. It's our first-ever mounted tv. I wanted to have it professionally mounted, but didn't want to pay the really high cost for such a simple installation in our case. This mount only requires finding 1 stud in the wall rather than having multiples align just right, which made me more confident I could do it. The instruction manual was simple to follow and gives instructions for multiple types of TVs. It probably took me about an hour to do the whole installation. So far it feels solid, but I gave it 4 stars just because I don't know how long it will hold up.

My husband bought this for the tv he bought me for our bedroom. It so far seems to be easy to use and operates smoothly. It does stick off the wall about 6 inches but that is to be expected. The tv turns off the wall at a decent angle however my husband would of liked it to be more. Which then I say that he should of purchased a more expensive one that did that. So what I guess I am saying is that you need to know how far you want your tv to come away from the wall BEFORE you purchase a tv mount period..With that being said it is built well but I do find it to be very expensive.

A Little Short on Arm Length

The mount is very strong. The arm is a little shorter than I would like. If the TV will be viewed a few degrees either side of flat against the wall you could mount a good size TV. If the TV will be viewed extending out at an angle to the wall the TV will touch the wall. I would say that a 30 to 40 degree angle will be about maximum on a 32 inch TV. The mount is working great and I am very happy with it, but I would recommend measuring the angle of the TV to the wall to make sure that the short arm length will work for you.

Learned a good lesson from buying things on the BestBuy website and not in the store...my first mount was recommended on the website to be the best product to mount my 32inch Samsung tv by customers who bought the same tv, but come to find out, the design had changed on the tv and it didn’t fit! Had to to exchange it at the BestBuy store for this one that fit perfectly....thanks to the sales clerk knowledge! The only shortcoming is the arm isn’t that long so the range of motion is limited. But it worked in my little corner perfectly well!

Don't be intimidated by the huge number of parts in the box. They are for the different choices you have for mounting surfaces. In the end I only needed like four of the nearly three dozen parts that were in the box. Once I got the Lag Bolts into the stud getting the mount on the wall was a breeze. For the size TV I have mounted on it it is rock solid. I will say I am pretty darn happy with the range of movement it has. It is working out perfectly for what I needed it for. I have it mounted on a wall between my kitchen and my dining room.

I am a truck driver and purchased this as a space saver in my truck. I did buy shorter nuts and bolts to attach it to a cabinet and had to buy new screws to attach to my Samsung TV. Had it installed in 30 mins and works exactly how I hoped, keeping TV in the cabinet while driving and easily pulling out while stopped.

This TV mount was used for a 32 flat screen. They are pretty light these days so you don't need a lot but this mount was more than enough. I mounted on a stud so I do not know how it would perform otherwise. It is an easy two screw system for the wall and the TV side comes with a four screw set up and multiple way bracket to fit your individual TV. Once you have the bracket mounted there is a little slot to slide that bracket onto and then one set screw to keep it in place. Everything mounted in less than 30 minutes and it looks great.

The thing about TV mounts is they all do the same basic function: holding a TV on the wall but can vary greatly in cost. Part of this is "premium" brands (like Sanus) charging more for their products over more "generic" brands (like Rocketfish) just because of the brand name. We used this mount to mount a 40" LCD TV on the wall and can 100% say it's just as good as any other mount out there. It's strong, easy to install, and versatile. Everything a TV mount needs to do, plus it's inexpensive. Forgo the Sanus and get one of these!

Good mount for my new 32" TV

I am happy with this tv mount allowing me to move a 32" new TV off a cabinet desktop to a wall for my wife's craft room. The only complaint that I have is the wall anchors for use in cinder block, cement, stone, etc. are not included and require calling a customer service number and ordering. I saw this in a review so pulled up the manual online and ordered the parts so that they arrived at no additional cost on the date that I purchased my TV and this bracket.

having installed a number of large television mounts I figured this would be pretty easy and it was. The only thing that seemed to be missing is drywall anchors; concrete anchors were included in the packaging, but not drywall, which seems odd since that would be the more likely mounting location. While it recommends installing on a stud that can definitely limit your tv placement and with this mount designed for small tvs that seems unnecessary. Otherwise this is a great product and easy to install.

This mount lived up to the Rockfish reputation with ease of installation and operating performance. I take part of the ease of installation credit for having taken the time to read instructions, organize the installation process and taking the time to get it right. Give yourself plenty of time, don't be in a rush, and double check your dimensions and spirit level guide lines, and you will be happy with the outcome. My only regret is in getting it three weeks before it was on sale!

Screws for back of TV--way too short

If you use the sleeves that come with the unit, it makes the screws that go into the back of the TV too short to be secure; leaving no piece of mind that the TV won't fall down if it's moved around too much. Had to combine the long screws without using the sleeves. Still not too happy with the security of the unit, but we're not touching it. As long as the person who's bed-ridden can view the TV, that will have to suffice for now.

I replaced my main TV so I had a 37" I wanted to use in my Florida Room. After talking to a salesperson, I decided on the Rocketfish. I found it was easy to mount to the wall and the instructions were clear. The only problem I had was actually attaching the TV to the mount. With about 1 foot of clearance, it was difficult to add the screw at the bottom to lock in the TV. Once that was done, it is easy to adjust and work great. Good value for the price.

This was a fairly simple bracket to install. I used it with a 28" class Samsung TV. The 100x100 form factor fit the mounting screws on the TC perfectly. The only negative was that the packaged included M4 screws 12mm and 35mm length, but I needed something closer to a 20mm. I fortunately had leftovers from other mounts. This is as much an issue with the TV specs as they don't even specify the size needed let alone the length.

We mounted our TV to the wall using this device. Overall it is functional and serves its purpose. The TV sits about 5 inches from the wall when mounted. When moving or turning the TV screen, you will have to hold the TV evenly and securely or it feels like it could break. The mounting is secured properly but there is some give in a part that allows the TV to tilt up and down. That may contribute to the feeling it's not secured.
