In my opinion this might be one the greatest games ever created. There are so many components to it that keep you engaged. At the end of the process you learn how to play guitar which isn't too shabby... Since I've been playing it I convinved 5 others to buy it.

This is a fun game. Has it turned me into a guitar god? Of course not, but it is a good starting point. Has a bunch of fun easy teaching tools. I had never picked up a goat before but now I can play a couple of sins from memory. So, in my book that's a win.

this game really will help you learn to play guitar. and if you already know how to play it will improve your skills and help you learn many new songs of many different styles too. all in all a great and extremely fun way to learn to play an instrument

I play a little already and this game is a great way to learn if you have some patients and want to learn. you'll see improvement from the first use. Started my 14 year old on it and he had never picked a guitar up before. Lots of fun features and exercises.

The game provides the opportunity for those that never took guitar lessons at a young age. It allows you to get a feel for a guitar at an age where learning an instrument isn't usually an easy task. Would recommend this to anybody. Fun and addicting.

I bought this copy after receiving the same version for PC. Unfortunately, my PC video card was not capable of keeping up with the graphics. The Xbox One version is perfect. the graphics are crisp, there is no lag, and the guitar hooks up easily.

Long gone the days where learning guitar is a repetitive routine. This game is bringing an interactive instructor to your gaming room. The bundle comes with a cable to connect your electric guitar to console. Plug it and have fun!

This is by far one of the most fun (and cheapest) ways to start learning how to play some of your favorite songs- both classic and new! I highly recommend this to gamers who would like to try and build some guitar/bass skills!

I have a 7 year old and a 10 year old that absolutely love this game. They have been able to practice their skills and get better at it while having a lot of fun. Now they are willing to practice while as before they used to complaint.

Having initially started with rhythm based games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero, as well as, subsequently learning to play the actual guitar, Rocksmith was a logical progression for me. It is an unique take on the old formula, real instrument(s) with real musical tracks in lieu of fake ones. This brings me to one of my two criticisms : having to purchase or already own a guitar makes this game a niche product. Targeting a select demographic, which is not necessarily a negative thing, it makes the true price of the game higher. The second criticism, which is more valid, is the problems with audio latency. If you do not own a surround sound system or sound bar this game is unplayable. Even owning such does not completely eliminate it. Hence the reason for my rating it with 4 stars instead of 5. In summation, Rocksmith is an enjoyable game in the same vein as the rhythm based games that proceeded it; however, it is not without flaws.

All beginners and this is a great introduction to guitar. It takes a lot of practice but this gets you on the right path with the basics and becomes progressively more challenging as you improve. Great for kids and adults.

Rocksmith is a really cool way to learn to play guitar. It has definitely helped me to learned the fundamentals. Wish there were more songs to choose from without having to buy expansion packs. But it's great nonetheless

So far after about two months, I am very happy to be where I am playing the guitar. However, I do think that there are some things that could make this product better: A more linear learning structure, a better way to learn chords, and a more effective "things we think you need to work on" for a few examples. The song packs for download are a little expensive too, but overall the game is a fun way to learn how to play real guitar. I had no real issue with learning the format of the game as I had never used a guitar before and have played scrolling games like this before. Also, I experienced a little bit of sound lag at first but was able to fix it by changing a couple settings on my tv and stereo system. I strongly recommend it to you!

Is this going to make you a music expert and ready for tour? No This game however does teach you the basics plus some. With it you can definitely play a few songs and is a great way to start. This game was on sale for under $20 so I grabbed it up. If you think you may be interested in learning to play guitar this is a cheap way to figure it out. It was cheaper than one lesson with someone. Note: You do need an electric guitar or a acoustic guitar capable of plugging into an amp.

This game has gotten my son so interested in guitar and bass. He already plays French horn and trumpet and likes rock music so this "game" gets him to practice for hours on end. He is getting really good really fast.

I wanted to learn how to play guitar and since I'm an avid gamer, Rocksmith was the perfect way to balance out these 2 hobbies. It is great alternative to use instead of paying a guitar teacher per lesson.

Today was my first lesson on the Rocksmith 2014. I love it! No one can see that I know zero about playing because it's private lessons at home but without the cost of private lessons. Great product this far.

Played several "guitar games" and even tried free lessons to learn guitar. Nothing out there compares to this game. Yes you can use any guitar you want. (Non-Acoustic) Any guitar that plugs into an amp.

Not an Xbox One specific review, but for Rocksmith 2014 in general as I mostly play on my Mac (and PC) but I've bought it on every platform (Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One & PS4) because it is that good. Have a passing interest in guitar, but never found time to practice to get better? Get Rocksmith 2014! You'll get better in very little time, and it's more fun than practicing by yourself. I've put in over 500 hours (all platforms combined) and I still want to play it more than any other "game" whenever I get free time.

Rocksmith is really helping me to learn the guitar. So far so good. I can see myself getting better every day. It is addictive, I can't wait to get home each day and learn some more.
