Great movie, I purchased it to fill the gap between the last Rocky movie and Creed.

Great price for a Blu-ray Disc. Nice addition to my sports movie collection!

Quite different from other Rocky movies, but a great ending to an addictive series of film.

You know what to expect when you watch a Rocky movie. This one is no different. Kind heart, cheering crowd, pulverized face. There is an alternate ending that I preferred. Good flick for a night at home.

Did not receive the DVD cover that is shown in picture...which is the one I ordered! I'm sure the disc is fine...as it is "new"...however I am a collector so for me...the cover of a DVD is important. I received the newer version of the DVD...not the original 2006. Will be returning!

This movie was tremendous. It's uplifting and inspirational. Mr. Stallone did an excellent job completing the Rocky legacy with class and style. The movie might not be full of boxing, but it's full of heart. The story focuses on Rocky the man, and what drives him. His love for family and friends, and the burning desire in his gut to live up to the potential he knows that's in him, regardless of his age. Anyone who was effected and touched by the first film will find a similar feeling with this one. While Rocky II-V were good, this final chapter deserves to stand on it's own in the series. Be sure to watch the credits, and the special features. Well worth the extra viewing.

The first time I saw Rocky Balboa, I enjoyed it thoroughly. After buying it, I noticed how much screen time is wastes. I loved the concept for the movie: The current heavyweight champion, Mason Dixon, is called undeserving for having never had to go the distance in the ring. A computer fight pits Dixon fight against the Italian Stallion, and the outcome causes both Dixon and the now 59-year-old Rocky to ultimately agree to an exhibition match. Unfortunately, too much screen time was dedicated to poorly chosen and/or executed dramatic plot lines that all fell flat: Rocky's memories and mourning of Adrian, Paulie's yelling (I think almost every line of his dialogue was yelled), and the champ's awkward interest in a single mother 20-30 years his junior. Though Rocky reminisces as much as you would expect from a man in his place in life, so much film time was dedicated to showing those flashbacks that I felt like they were one of the main characters, rather than just a tool to advance his personal development. They jarred you out of the plot, including during the climax, rather than contributing to it. Dixon's character was left relatively one-sided, and with a movie that was more dramatic than action, that was a major oversight. They tried to give him some depth, but it left me feeling that he was indeed the sell-out that the media accused him of being. Oh, and Rocky has a weak relationship with his son and tries to fix it by citing wisdom in the form of boxing metaphors. It's not a movie I will watch again, and I would feel ill treated if I had paid more than $0.99 on Black Friday.

I believe this is a great movie because you're viewing rocky at an old age already. For you to really enjoy this movie you have to understand life. What it is to live and do. To see change and adapt to new times. I think this is stallone's best work because he likes to incorporate his beliefs into his own characters. If you really listen and try to understand what he says in this movie. I can completely agree with him on how you live life. The boxing was not as exciting as in the other films. However it was indeed more realistic to actual boxing. In the other rocky movies there was too much punching and taking blows to the head. There was enough action for the actual fighting. This is one movie I would actually spend money on buying it on Blue-ray. But that's just me. I always advice you read other reviews before you make a final decision.

We joke about Rocky's old age and the fact that there were so many previous Rocky movies, but this movie is almost in another category. Rather than a movie about being a great fighter and trying to beat up the other person in the ring, this movie takes a more down to earth approach. What makes this film great (at least for me) was not the boxing scenes but the messages Rocky was trying to teach. It's not about getting hit, it's about being able to keep going. This is a great movie that many people underestimated.

This is not a great movie, but it ends the Rocky mlovie legacy well. Rocky IV and Rocky V were such bad movies this was a good ending. Good movie to add to your collection.

now if you collect rocky items then sure your going to wont to get this for your collection. However if you just wont to watch it i dont recommend it at all.And the only thing that truely destroyed this movie was the ending.If you watched it you know what im talking about.I dont wont to ruin the end for you, so i wont say much about it except that he (Stallone) did a horrific job at putting an end to this thing.
