Must Buy If It Has The Free Game Inside!

The initial release of Rodea came with two version of the game. The Wii and Wii U version. On the box will be a sticker saying there is a bonus/extra disc inside. If you see that, this game is a must buy and a perfect 5! However, if you don't see the sticker the game is a two at best. While they are the same game, the Wii U version is slower, less colorful and has a very bad frame rate/animation. The Wii version is bright, vibrant and fun. So if you see the sticker, pick this up!

This game has interesting mechanics that with the likes of Shadow of the Colossus. The graphics could be better for the Wii U, but overall a fun experience.

    Wii Version Review

I am strictly reviewing the Wii version. The Wii version is the definite version if you can believe me. The game was intended for the Wii but was pushed back throughout the years. It eventually was ported to the Wii U and 3DS but those versions lack any real definition due to poor controls and poor visuals. If you buy this, get the Wii version with it.

The Wii U version is not as good at the controls as the Wii verison, but as the game came with both versions, it's a great deal. Its a lot of fun to go flying and once you get the tricky controls down, the game itself is very enjoyable. The controls are really my only complaint.

It has been a long time coming but this game has finally released. It is a good, standard JRPG that deserves to be played.

play the wii version it's far better and is made by the man who made sonic the hedgehog. just don't even bother with the wiiu version the controls make no sense and some levels are replaced with cut-scenes.

I'm not a big fan of motion controls. That said, this is one of he few games that does it right. However, the game feels kind of average. It's charming, unique, and has that Sega feel, but it doesn't do anything exceptionally well. It comes close to brilliance, yet always has a shortcoming, like poor control decisions, bad camera, outdated graphics, annoying sounds....

There are two games in the package of the initial print run. The Wii version and the Wii U version. The Wii version runs great on Wii U or the Original Wii. This one is true to the developers vision and is different enough that it shouldn't be missed. The WII U game is a port of the 3DS title and isn't quite as polished. Neat game, but I enjoyed the Wii version a bit more. From a collector's stand point, I bet that Wii version ends up being pretty tough to get down the road. If you're looking for a fun game that is pretty enough for the system (Wii or Wii U), check these out. The price is right, the controls and graphics are very good, and the game is a lot of fun.

The Wii version is really good but the WiiU version is an upscaled version of the terrible 3DS version.

This came with the wii and wii u versions of the game. As others have stated the controls on wii are the better of the 2. Need wii u games, this one is worth the price of admission. Not sure that it will be replayed, but am having a good time getting through the first playthrough.
