The Wall - Roger Waters' Magnum Opus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the great pleasure of seeing Roger perform The Wall live back in 2010, so to FINALLY get the DVD was pure joy. I've been a Pink Floyd fan since birth, and The Wall has always been my favorite Pink Floyd album, not to mention favorite of all time. You get a great quality film, with a little bit of movie thrown in. Obviously the live performance is stellar, but this film also has little "in-between" sequences during some of the longer instrumentals; Roger visits his grandfather's grave with his children, he reads a letter entailing his father's death, etc. This is definitely more than just a concert film.

worth every cent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This blu-ray is great, don't listen to all the wining everybody is doing about the cuts between segments of the show, they are not that long and they are not overindulgant like some other reviews have been saying. Sure, they should have a concert only choice or just could have put them on as extras, but they are still cool and contribute to the whole experience of the production. If I had one thing that I wish they would have offered, it would have been a choice of angles to view the show. I saw this live from the floor about twenty-five feet out from the center of the stage and the visuals were incredible, so a angle for the blu-ray from a little way out would have captured the magnatude of the show a lot better.

top notch production
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best concert videos I have seen. The production quality is top notch. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is amazing. I was surprised by the footage of Roger's journey spliced into the concert footage - a great technique I think that worked well to give us viewers more detail on the origins of the music. The supplemental material also provides insight into the behind the scenes goings on of bringing the concert to life. I only wish I had see it in person; but this is the next best thing. A must have for any Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fan.

Greatest concert EVER!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No wonder this show stood as the top-grossing show of all time! The music is pristine, the visuals are breathtaking and Roger Water's humanistic, anti-violence and war message profound!!! I saw this live and the Blu-Ray captures the scope of the live concert experience. I have been a Floyd fan since the 70s and this show even out-floyds Floyd!!! No matter your taste in music, I think almost Everyone would be impressed with the level of musicianship and the truly state of the art live visuals. This concert is/was Mind Blowing!!!

Wonderful Document of the summer Wall Tour
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Technically the photography and audio is state of the art. Having seen the tour with my son, I can say the concert footage has "be there" quality. This is not just a concert video. The movie is interspersed with footage of Roger Waters and family visiting European war memorials where his father and grandfather are remembered. Highly recommended.

Best concert film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you had the great fortune of seeing this show when it toured then you already know it was the best concert ever. It looks fantastic on blu ray and is the closest thing you can get now besides being there. Highly recommend for any fan of Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, or music in general.

Like Being There
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had seen this show twice live and I had been anxiously awaiting the release of the video. It was well worth the wait as this show looks and sounds terrific on a home theater system. I would go so far as to say that with the proper home theatre system, this was as good as being at the show live. The second half of the show sounds just amazing.

Would be great without the road trip
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this first in the theaters, and thought the same thing then. This would be perfect if there was a way to just watch an uninterrupted concert performance. Instead the flow of the show is broken in several places to include film of Mr. Waters traveling to WWI and WWII memorials and battlefields...these would be very interesting additional features, but completely pull the viewer out of the show.

Entertaining and thought provoking.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw "The Wall Live" in 2010 at The Honda Center. It was mind blowing and unforgettable. This blu-ray is a wonderful reminder of how amazing that night was. Even if you don't know anything about Pink Floyd or Roger Waters, unless you are not human, you will be moved. Have a cocktail, turn up the volume and enjoy.

powerful
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love the original film, this live concert/documentary is a great companion piece. It freshens the frame of the original material and uses documentary footage to explore what inspired it to begin with.

Excellent version of The Wall in concert.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent concert version of The Wall. The image quality is superb and the audio is even better. Even though I have the Live in Berlin concert from the 1990s, this one is now my favorite and the one I will be watching again from now on. Second only to Pink Floyd The Wall movie.

genius
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this performance twice live and was hoping the video captured the brilliance of it. Not only was it captured but the additional features are worth watching over and over just like the actual show. The bigger the TV and surround sound are a big plus for watching this! :)

Amazing concert!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having seen the tour in Louisville, Kentucky, I was very much looking forward to reliving the tour again. The concert footage is pretty much flawless. My only complaint (which may be a bit heavy of a word) is that I wish the concert portion was on one disc and the rest of the footage be used as bonus content on another disc.

Good concert footage with some of his insight.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good concert for RW Wall fans. Yes they break the flow with documentary type inserts of his insights towards the war, historical places and heros. Agree that all that stuff would be better on the bonus disc to view once or when you want to. Fans will take what's given, and enjoy the footage to see what they missed or relive the show. Still a good disc to have in your library.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I had already seen this video at the movies, so I knew what I was getting. Great quality both in sound and video. As crazy as it may sound, I bought a new TV system just to watch this film. Big fan of Roger Waters as well as Pink Floyd.

Roger waters at his best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film brought back great memories from when I saw Roger waters at the LA Colissium some years back. The picture is flawless and the audio is submersive. The story intertwined In between some of the songs adds more depth to an already rich story.

Yet another chapter in the history of The Wall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The live show was a jaw dropping and epic event. The film does it's best to recreate the sweeping themes, emotions and political commentary, that have been part of Roger Waters repertoire since his time as the main writer and creative force behind Pink Floyd. The theatrical additions throughout this concert film are eerie and nostalgic.... A must see for any Floyd fanatic!
