I am in love with this espresso maker. It is so compact, easy to use and durable. It's even portable! Recently I took it on a local trip and was able to use it in the hotel room with hot water from the in-room coffee maker. Since it's not electric, I expect it will last a lot longer than anything electronic. It's a lot smaller than I expected so I don't mind leaving it out on the counter since it takes up about the same amount of space as a knife block. Can't recommend enough.

My friend said "just like when she lived in Brazil" ! The construction is excellent. The espresso is "like a dessert" as another friend described it. So happy I choose this product by ROK, you won't be disappointed !

On the fence between kitschy and practical.

I was looking to downgrade from my Breville without compromising the quality of the espresso. Took a few weeks to make a decision on this after watching a bunch of youtube reviews. It is an interesting piece of hardware. It looks good on the counter. But I'm not in love with the process nor the quality of expresso it puts out. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or maybe it just isn't for me. The design is nice. It works the way the reviews said it would. Despite what I told myself before I bought it, I don't enjoy having to heat water, grind the coffee, then clean up after, all for one cup of ok espresso. But then again, I'm downgrading from a Breville. It's nice at a party after dinner. It's not nice if i'm on the go. The price is definitely steep. If I had to price it I would put it around the $60-80 mark respectably. I would recommend to a friend who likes kitschy but semi-useful things.

Elegant piece of hardware, like the fact that it's not electric...
