Unpacked device and had connected to my wifi in short order. Activated my account online and started looking for channels/streams. Found some free movie sites that have a selection of new-ish mainstream releases to absurdly bad B/C/D movies (some of my favorites) and a great load of other content that I may never get through. Running glitch free on 15 MBPS cable modem. Plan to soon leave Dish Network for Sling TV and save a few coins each month. Looks like it will work as long as the wifi stays running and my provider doesn't impose data limits.

Very simple set up, user friendly interface, intuitive remote. Unfortunately my cable provider (Xfinity/Comcast) doesn't support Roku yet so I am unable to benefit from that by logging in and accessing a broader range of content through a lot of the more popular apps. I read that a deal was in the works though so hopefully it will be available soon. Regardless there is still plenty of free content to be accessed without logging in via a cable provider. I have a Netflix account so I have mostly been using that or YouTube. Would recommend if you are looking for an easy way to stream on your TV. I also love that I can control via the physical remote or the app on my phone.

Purchased this Roku as a step up from what I currently had. Glad I did, the picture quality and proccesseor speed is much better. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

This is my second premiere. Still using the original. Performs well and has easy set up. Great equipment for the price.

I mainly got this to future-proof for 4K (I don't have a 4K TV yet, but it's just a question of time) and to get a streaming device with a good app for Amazon Prime video. I had been using the app on a Sony Blu-Ray player and the interface was poorly designed and the streaming was slow, in spite of having very fast WiFi that works just fine with everything else. The Roku is very easy to set up and the interface is intuitive and attractive. The apps I use the most, Netflix and Amazon, are both excellent. Navigating within the apps is very fast and the streaming is also very fast. I like being able to arrange the apps where I want them, which you can also do on Apple TV, but Apple TV doesn't support 4K. I had hoped to use the Spotify app, but it's not very good. It didn't even load my music the second time I used it, so I have pretty much given up on that. I'm not sure if Spotify just hasn't bothered to update the app, or if it's an issue on Roku's part, but the app is very dated looking compared to the others I've used. I like the remote, too. I'm happy with the Roku and would get the same model again.

I replaced a broken streaming stick with this Roku Premier. I was very happy with the speed and ease of use of the new Premier. I also have an old Roku 2 on another television in my home and the Premier out-performs it, solidly. I do wish it had a wired internet jack, though, as my router is only a couple feet away. I have no issue with the signal, however, so its not a big deal.

I wish I had gotten my Roko Premier sooner. Easy to set up, easy to use and great picture quality.

Much better than apple tv. Better remote control and easier to use. Highly recommend.

I love the Roku because it allows me to see shows on PBS prior to it being televised. When the cable is out, I pull out the Roku remote and have my choice of things to watch. I was just on Roku.com and they had added so many new apps, I have not been able to review and add them all yet. My Roku is so easy to use, and provides so much entertainment, I would be lost without it.

Smooth and fast streaming. Clear picture, has not buffered at all so far.

Roku does it again! The Premiere streaming box is excellent for budget 4K streaming, or high-end 1080p streaming depending on your TV. In my case I can't speak to the 4K quality but the 1080p on my Samsung looks great via Netflix, Vudu and Amazon Prime. I also use the Spectrum Cable app and the picture quality on that is great as well. Sound also is wonderful. I'm not hooked into any sound bars but the sound comes out loud and clear. I am upgrading from an older Roku HD which wasn't bad, but by today's standards was slow and couldn't allow for multiple profiles on Netflix. If you are coming from an older roku and want a box with a little more horsepower (CPU is similar to the Roku Ultra) and don't need the HDR streaming, legacy connections or soundbar connectivity, this is a great bang-for-your-buck option to go with.

Our family has about 6 of these running in the house and they are awesome. Best idea of this decade. Purchased ours through Best Buy several weeks ago to update an older roku we had and the setup was still as easy as ever. Best Buy had them on sale. I went to the store for pickup and had no issues what so ever. Very nice person at the pickup area.

Cutting the cable, have a second or third household TV, but don’t want to spring for more expensive cable boxes? Want to stream from Netflix or Amazon? The latest iteration of the popular Roku “hockey puck” is a great deal. Set-up is nearly effortless. But if you have any issues, Roku’s Tech support people are great.

I cut the cable but needed a device to stream. I sought out Roku because I have another adult to consider and she's not at ease with tech things. I added a svc to get additional channels and discover some movies on Roku that was entertaining. The loading queue is something to get use to but its worth removing cable.

Works pretty well. A lot faster than the stick, controls are pretty easy.

Took less than 1 hour to install and connect 4 Roku's to 4 TVs. Negatives: Only two devices can be used at one time. Searching to find how to change sleep time so you could switch between devices. Minimum 10gps internet speed is not adequate to run one Roku. Needed to upgrade my service from 18gps to 24gps to work without intermittent loss of signal.

This Roku was so easy to install. The directions had no words, just pictures. It does not get easier then that. Using the remote to add apps and watch movies is a piece of cake. Unless you plan on moving the Roku from TV to TV in your house, you will need more than one.

Roku is the leader in streaming devices and this one delivers. Small and able to simply slip into your television cabinet or home theater. Easy to set up channel menu. "You can list the channels the way you like" and simple user interface makes this Roku a most own!
