This works great for most if not all popular streaming apps. It's very snappy and fast, even for boot up. The remote control is great as well. It has a backlight feature and a "find my remote" feature on the streaming box that makes finding it convenient and easy. The ethernet port is a big plus as well. Despite how well my native Android TV streaming apps work, some can still give me trouble such as the ongoing issue with Peacock TV not recognizing Dolby Vision/Atmos. Overall, this is a great, strong performing streaming device that will meet your app streaming needs.

An amazing setup! Should have done this years ago! I have an older smart tv but I bought this for its remote and ease of the menu. A very simple process to set up! And the remote and setup are all handled under one simple operation-no more multiple remotes! The rechargable and voicecontrol remote is just the best. As is the ability to link my headphones wirelessly directly to it. (The box itself can also be linked to wi-fi wirelessly). It even improved the quality of my TV picture, Love it!

My parents wanted to update the Roku on their main TV. They had an older Roku stick but it was getting pretty slow and not all the apps were working right. If we started a show on an app (Netflix, HBO, Paramount, etc) and paused it, once we started it up again the video didn't match the audio. It was annoying. Anyways, this Roku Ultra went on sale so we decided to get it and try it. And, it works really well! It is much faster than the Stick was, the controller is super nice and the ability to charge it with a phone charger is so much nicer than swapping batteries. The video also seems to be sharper, which I didn't think was an issue with the stick until we started watching stuff on the Ultra. So I would recommend the Ultra. The Stick was nice for what it was, and the ability to kind of hide it. But, this Ultra is just that much nicer without any of the downsides.

Much to my wife's chagrin, I have a box filled with streaming devices. Apple, Chromecast with Google TV, and all the rest. Each of them have their positives, but each of them, for me, has a fatal flaw, such as the Apple TV remote won't turn my TV off when I turn the Apple TV off (or on, can't remember) requiring me to have two remotes handy. The Roku Ultra just works. The settings are easy to use, the remote is backlit which is great, it is updated regularly, and it works. We have on on each of our three TVs. The only downside is the home screen will have ads/promotions for, say, a movie even if you turn off the ads in settings. But we ignore those, and they don't get in the way at all for selecting your streaming "channels" (e.g. Youtube TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) A huge selection of apps, and it all just works including the remote easily and transparently controlling my TV on/off and volume. Tried them all and always come back to the Roku Ultra.

The Roku Ultra has all the features you may want in a streaming device. The installation/configuration is very easy and simplified. If you already have set up the Roku app for another Roku device it is even easier. Speed of loading new content and viewing it, clarity of picture and sound are all exceptional. The remote is backlit and the voice activation works very well. This is my second purchase of a Roku device as I wanted a 4k/Atmos capable device. This has proven to be a great value.

I have a 2017 LG television (it's not a smart tv) with the Roku Ultra. The picture is really HD clear. Being a baby boomer I'm not tech savvy. This was very easy to install on my television. Also with Roku Ultra it converts my 2017 television to have smart tv options. Also I like that the back lit remote that's a great feature. When watching television in the evening time.

We've been using Roku boxes and sticks for about 12 years, and this is the best one we've had hands down. 1. We have this connected to an LG 65in C2 4K TV and the picture quality truly better. 2. The backlit remote is super convenient 3. I like the option to leave voice command on instead of having to press the button every time. 4. Rechargable remote, no more batteries. 5. Apps load and respond faster

This device has an Excellent 4K HDR- 1080p resolution, I love this new rechargeable (not more batteries!) voice remote tv control with backlit buttons! To operate it at night!…And If it gets lost, you can easily find it too. It’s WI-FI 6 and Dolby Vision Atmos sound. I am very happy with my Roku Ultra, enjoying it streaming free-TV!

This is a high-end streamer in my opinion. Roku is very user friendly. This model is their fastest yet and it does not disappoint. It can handle all the sound types available including Dolby Atmos, all the HDRs and of course 4K, 1080p, 720p and 480. The remote looks slick backlit and I love that it’s rechargeable via USB-C. Holds a charge longer than the previous Ultra which I also own. The headphone jack is gone but I didn’t use it anyway. Bluetooth is available for wireless headphones. I recommend getting a case for the remote because streamer remotes tend to be slippery. A case will make it easier to grip and add protection and make it easier to find if you go for something other than black. I use purple for my Rokus and orange for my Firesticks. For my use this new Roku Ultra is a no brainer at a discount.

Roku gives easy access to apps, movies, live tv, etc Easy to navigate. The Roku Ultra is fast and has a great picture. Roku Ultra comes with the backlit voice remote. The only drawback that I’ve found is that you can’t change the channel by selecting the number. You have to just scroll through them which goes quickly

Fast, responsive, and very easy to set up. Picture quality is excellent, apps load quickly, and the rechargeable backlit remote is a huge upgrade, especially at night. Dolby Vision and Atmos support are great bonuses. Definitely one of the best Roku devices I’ve used.

I was having issues with frequent wifi disconnects on my smaller roku stick, and since replacing it with this unit, I have had no issues whatsoever. I really like the backlit remote function as well. I don't really use the voice remotre, but overall, this has been a good upgrade for me.

Absolutely phenomenal product. I purchased it to replace my TVs slow, dreary built in OS that kept constantly lagging. I was a bit hesitant about getting the Roku and was debating between this and the Google one, but I am very happy I went with the Roku. My main concern I had when purchasing one of these streaming devices was the support for Dolby Digital + as I have it plugged into my Denon AVR-S660H home theater receiver, this did not disappoint at all. The audio quality is the exact same as if it was coming directly from the TV. I've used the backdrops feature more than I thought I would've. I connect my Spotify to my AVR via HEOS and play my music, with the backdrop feature (as long as you config your receiver correctly) you can have it display a bunch of different artwork or paintings while listening to music, which is perfect if you have people over or just want to chill out for a little bit. Funny enough, I've used the voice commands feature more than I would've expected as well. It's really nice to just say "Hey Roku, turn on my TV" which allows you to go grab a drink from the fridge or a snack from the pantry while your TV and AVR receiver boots up. The remote is a very nice size and really easy to hold in the hand, plus it has integrated backlighting so if you need to change something with the remote in the dark you can actually see the buttons! If you do somehow lose the remote, on the side of the streaming device is a button you can push that'll ping the remote (sorta like if you ping your iPhone or Galaxy device from your watch). The remote will start beeping and the backlighting will start flashing to help you find it. With the voice commands you can ask it to help you find a show as well, while it can't take very long responses for that, it's still decently helpful and has found me some shows that I don't think I would've found without it! There's not really anything I dislike about this product at all, it's fixed my one gripe with my TV which was it's slow and very laggy OS. Along with that, it has given me several other features I do enjoy and use on a regular basis.

I already had a couple of these at home but I replaced one that was fully functional. The reason is that it was out of warranty and the remote kept crashing. Roku is finally made a remote that is reliable, easier to hold and to use. My last one did not require batteries but this one is even better as far as recharging. The unit itself is always reliable for me. The only thing I dislike has nothing to do with the unit itself it is that Roku keeps changing the menu and the last release is not my favorite. Simple is Best. But I can deal with it for the vast amount of apps that it allows me to have in one concentrated place regardless of the fact that I have a beautiful TV that also allows for apps. Much prefer having the Roku.

Easy to use, easy to set up Snappy and quick user interface. I have it running through a top of the line AVR and the picture and sound are excellent. I have one hardwired, and won't you wireless on the second floor of my home. I couldn't ask for better performance

Updated our 6 year old Roku and couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I love that we can charge the remote and don’t need batteries and love that it lights up so you can see the buttons in lower light. Setting it up was easy and I love how much faster this device works.
