this replace an earlier version of the Ultra, supports about anything you could need, very easy setup, plus i hardwire mine for no buffering. Love the remote, has voice and ear plugs and it is backlit!!

The Roku Ultra is very easy to set up and is a great way to stream from all your favorite apps. It has a great guest mode feature which works well for short-term rentals, or if you share a TV with multiple people.

I had a pair of last generation Roku boxes that aged out (Both boxes aged out at the same time and would not function properly.) Roku could have done a better job at informing customers on why this is happening. But anyway, I am very happy with the new boxes I purchased. The UI is familiar with some new features. I won't go all into the new hardware but I can tell how "snappy" the new Roku box is. And more importantly.... Rechargeable Batteries for the Remote!

Worked perfectly out of the box! Every year I’ve had to replace the other brand. I was just hanging on because it was what I was used to. This time when it failed the currently available model has really poor user reviews, so I made the switch to Roku. The ease of installation was refreshing. I honestly thought maybe I needed another new tv, nope the picture clariry returned upon installation. I’m still learning the new navigation. I turned of voice accessibility even when the tv is turned off, who needs that?! I highly recommend this version.

Was having problems with Roku tv 'flashing'. Tried every setting and just couldn't stop it. I've read that the tv might have a computer that's just 'slow'. After researching, I decided to have an individual Roku for apps and allow the computer to strictly focus on the graphics. I had a Roku express already, but it seemed slow to respond. I bought the ultra and it was very noticably faster. The lighted remote was awesome if you watch tv at night in the dark. Better than turning it to the TV to see the buttons up close in the dark. Voice search is the BEST. No more typing in search bars. The ultra keeps track of all my apps and programs and I haven't seen one flicker of the tv since I bought the Roku. I read about that truck online also. Glad I purchased this. Plus, I don't need a line of sight with remote and unit. No more remote 'aimming'. This is the one to get off you're thinking of getting one. It's not really that much of a price increase for the features you'll be using for years. Spend the $50 extra and don't be mad at how slow the cheap one is . No one likes waiting after you press the remote buttons for some things to happen.

Works great. It improved my picture quality. Great selection of default services. Finding it easy to set up and to use. Like the backlit remote. I liked the Ultra so much I bought a sound-bar Roku for my office TV. Really improved the sound and picture on that TV.

I had an old Roku which was 1080p and getting a little slow in loading sometimes. I purchased this 4K version to get better video quality and speed. It is still easy to use like before with a simple but powerful interface. I like the remote being able to glow in the dark and it makes a beeping noise for you to find it if gets lost in the house.

Works really well! No issues with initial setup or using in general. The rechargeable and backlit remote is a nice touch and has a solid feel. It has only been a few weeks, but I am happy with what we have and will definitely be using it a lot more!

I have used the Roku streaming device since it first came out years ago. The Ultra 4K version is the best I've had. I have now left cable and satellite behind and have gone to streaming in all of my TVs, including in my RV where I installed two Roku TVs. I have tried other streaming devices and just didn't like them as well as the Roku. Much of that feeling is from my familiarity with the way the Roku works and from the large array of streaming channels available. Other devices just don't perform as well.

This would be worth the normal price but the sale made it even better. I've been a Roku supporter for 10+ years now and this product has met expectations just like all the others. It's easy to set up and use, is very fast and responsive to inputs and the backlit remote is the cherry on top.

This replaces an older version I had. I upgraded after cutting the cord. It's fast and the picture looks great on everything I watch on YouTube streaming. Highly recommended.

My samsung TV apps were beginning to show their age, and a few (like fandango at home) started continuously stopping/starting, which I first attributed to buffering. After ruling that out by testing the TV with 2 different internet services as well as routers, I decided to try adding a roku just to see if that would help. This resolved all of those problems and works well. I have had a few small technical issues which is the only reason I dropped this to 4 stars. I have to physically unplug the roku occasionally when it has refused to power on via the remote. This seems to happen about once a week. Not terrible, but it is a little annoying so I removed a star.

We have several Roku’s in our house with most of them being Roku Sticks but the Ultra is the best. Seems to be faster with more features and it fixed the problem I was having with a several years old Roku Premiere. For some reason it had stopped responding to my Logitech Harmony Elite universal remote so I decided to upgrade and the remote works fine and the additional features from the Ultra are great. The rechargeable remote is also the best thing Roku has done to their remotes. Love it!! Finding it on sale at Christmas time was a great bonus too.
