Customers appreciate the ability to add various sound effects, videos, microphone effects, instruments, and more. However, some users have concerns about the microphone's sensitivity, as it picks up background noise easily. Additionally, a few customers have experienced app crashing and connectivity issues, such as screen glitches during streaming.

Not The Studio I Expected

Unfortunately the Roland Studio Live did not live up to my expectations because of software glitches and it's overall performance with difficulty connecting to the app.
It theory it sounds like a good idea and when you toggle the buttons if you are wondering whether it responds or not... it does.
However, I am a bit concerned that this was designed and the person(s) bit off more than they could chew.
Connecting to my social media platforms was supposed to be easy and I should have been able to merge the Roland App and Facebook together but it failed to do so after about 4 attempts it worked.
Cosmetically it's very light and the quality of the materials used to make the device seem like shortcuts might have been taken.
I absolutely love the idea of having the ability to toggle between two streaming cameras to give viewers two points of view in a split second. It just does not work the way the box and instructions describe and is more of a headache than a time saver. I have better luck just going live on my phone's camera and not worrying about losing connection or application bugs.
The ports for the device also seem to be delicate and not sturdy.
Lastly, I know for production value the port for a microphone is present but in 2020 I wish this would have had a USB port for my studio microphone.
I had better hopes.

Though I was initially impressed with this product, It seems that it doesn't connect well with Android. I first had issues connecting it to my Galaxy Note 10+ and then once it finally connected it wouldn't hold. I kept getting the "unable to connect" error message. I connected it to my iPad Air, but I don't use live cast on that, I only do it on my phone so it was frustrating that this is supposed to be android and apple friendly when it simply isn't. Here are some of my pros and cons after using it for a little while:
PROS
Has a built-in mic so is useful if you don't have the extra equipment
Simple setup; plug and play with the app
CONS
Is NOT Android friendly
If you use the built in mic, and turn the gain up, you hear ALL SOUNDS, including even pushing the buttons during broadcasts
Could not evaluate the video connection due to the connectivity
issues with my android.
Customer service is not helpful
It seems like it is better for doing podcasts or video logs so I guess I will use it for either of those.

Right out of the box you can feel the cheap plastic exterior and the hollow clunk when you set it down. The app is simple... too simple in my opinion and to navigate it with the technical glitches is not a walk in the park. It’s not difficult to set up. You connect the Roland studio to a power supply then to your phone via the provided cables. Connect the app and connect the second screen via WiFi. The second screen works but glitches, I thought it was just my iPad but the stream wasn’t any different. The issues start happening once your start streaming and then some before that. The mic quality in the Roland Studio is dismal to put it lightly so you need to get a separate one but it can’t be a USB mic, it has to be an XLR mic. I see what they’re trying to do and I appreciate it but for the price and hardware, that’s a hard no for me.
