What a fun great movie. Excellent performances by Douglas, Turner, and Devito. It's hard not to love this love letter to ridiculous romance novels.

I purchased Romancing the stone. I am rewriting the review. The computer glitch sent the review before completion. It is still a funny & fresh movie for the entire family, even though made in the 1980's. No excessive graphic violence or nudity. A romance writer (Joan Wilder) travels to Columbia with a treasure map to secure the release of her kidnapped sister. Joan engages a rogue to help her. He wants the treasure. She wants to save her sister. Lots of action to keep kids interested.Kathleen Turner is pure genius & Danny Devito is so funny. great to see a female lead in an adventure movie. They don't make movies like they did in the 1980's & 1990's anymore. Pure fun.

A great movie. A true classic must have for any collection.

The Blu-ray provided excellent picture and sound quality. Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner became household names after starring in this movie. Danny DeVito also gives a great performance as a supporting actor in this screen classic. There is a great romance between Douglas and Turner and the stone is a huge Emerald that everyone wants. This is one of my favorite romance/action/comedy movies and my wife loved it. If you haven't seen it, buy it and watch it.

I had seen this movie back in the 1980s and liked it. Now that it is on Blu-ray I can watch it anytime I want. It has a fun adventure story and great actors. The picture and sound are excellent on Blu-ray.

Glad to finally have a Blu-ray copy. This is a fine comedy adventure with some excellent performances by lead actors and the many character actors. There are some nice special features!

One of the best romance action movies there is. It’s amazing how much I like Douglas/Turner in this but hate them in War of the roses. Don’t watch that movie (ever), watch this one instead.

This film is one of my all time favs! I have had it on vhs, dvd, and now bluray! The sequel, Jewel of the Nile, is also great entertainment! The movie, War of the Roses, also starring the terrific trio, Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito, is a cult classic alike! Enjoy!

This is a movie classic that everyone should go see, it is well done, well acted and well directed and can I say fun and exciting to watch.

I have this movie on DVD and recently rewatched it. It definitely needed the upgrade to Blu-ray (worth it)

An adventure full of laughs and both actors would have been a great couple until the other movie that I can't seem to remember where both where through a bad marriage. In conclusion great team.

Lost my copy and had to get another on to replace it. It is a classic and must see over and over again.

pair this with jewel of the nile and you have 2 very good movies. I def would recommend this, good cast and well written, they dont make movies like this anymore!

classic 80's movie,michael douglas and kathleen turner are a good fit together and danny devito brings the humor to the film as only he can do. it's a good entertaining film that everybody can enjoy.

Really good movie. Had it in vhs, but wanted to upgrade it to blu-ray. good chemistry
