The complete series this was nice I wished someone continued the series

Amazing historical show. It was on hbo originally.

One of HBO's great drama series set during the Roman Age. Political intrigue, promiscuous scandals, bribery, assassinations, military conflicts, and yes, civil war. Reminiscent of many nations past and present and their quest for domination and imperialism. Good series that leaves you wanting more.

Wanted to get this dvd for a loooong time, finally got it and i am enjoying it again since HBO ended the series. Luckily i can see some of my favorite actors, and future GOT cast members!!! Pullo & Lucious should have had a spin off series, a buddy comedy perhaps!!!

Considering the numbers of hours this is very reasonably priced. The theatrics and drama aside, I like this for the historical perspective.

This was a gift, but I have seen the series and would recommend to all. It was well acted, sets were nice and the story line was great. It is a mini series so doesn't take weeks to binge.

I love historical dramas, especially Ancient Rome. This one was well acted and strong dialogue, lots of violence which I can deal with, but wow way too much debauchery. I cannot picture ever letting my kids see this even when they are in their 20's (if they still listen to me then).

Series that ended way too soon. Worth the watch. ....

I have always enjoyed this series and am glad to now own it so I can watch it when ever I like whether it is on one of the networks or not.

great historical docudrama, with bloody violence, sex and strong language

Excellent series, beginning with Julius Caesar's triumph in Gaul, to the return of Octavian from Egypt, with the spoils of war.

Purchased this box set on a whim, since I don't have showtime. Ended up loving the series!! Too bad it was canceled.

Loved the series when it was on HBO. Wish it had another couple of seasons, but I'll take what I can get!

Did not get to see this series when it first came out and heard from friends how good it was and it is great! I am hooked - wonderful portrayal of the greatness and intrigue that made Rome ageless!

We had seen this series sometime back and we loved it. We are looking forward to seeing it again.
