The actors Douglas Booth,Hailee Steinfeld and especially Damien Lewis and Paul Giametti...you have to love these people...especially the actors who played Romeo and Juliet....Douglas Booth is a rather new actor...but delivers quite a punch!..I have seen him once before in Masterpiece Classics Great Expectations as Pip...he is a fantastic actor and his Romeo was just as perfect as his Pip character,I have never seen Hailee Steinfeld before...but was very,very impressed...and have seen Damien Lewis,and Paul Giametti before and are very,very good....Damien Lewis actually makes Lord Capulet very likeable...he really cares for his daughters welfare.....maybe off on somethings...but that is how dads can be sometimes...Paul Giametti as the priest seemed more like a father figure to Romeo then his own dad did...but all in all it was done very good and I really liked, and also no swearing or nudity at all,and that is always good especially if you have kids

Romeo and Juliet has always been a timeless piece of work. This movie went and reimagined the story but kept to the originality of the play and didn't steer to far of course, like the 1996 version. While I have always been attracted to the essence that is Romeo and Juliet, the story of forbidden and tragic love, every time a new version is made I am equally as happy as before. Great movie. Great acting. Loved it

Outstanding screenplay adaption by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) of the incredible words of the beloved Bard in an easier to understand and relate to version for a new generation. Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis were outstanding! And the score is heartbreakingly glorious - one of the best I've heard in a long time. And I am now a completely over the moon fangirl of the incredible Mr. Westwick...after seeing this have totally binge-watched my way through the first four seasons of Gossip Girl on Netflix - OMG :)

Yep, here's another movie following the same story. but this one is more along the lines of the original, with great set pieces and costumes. I still prefer the Leonardo Dicaprio movie but this was ok.

As a teacher, I am always looking for additional movies to my classroom library. This one is one that I have needed and it was a bonus that it was priced so reasonably.

I bought this for my daughter, who is a movie buff and was an English lit major. Unfortunately, she wasn't impressed with the way that they re-wrote Shakespeare. There have been better versions.

This is a beautiful love story that I enjoyed since playing these roles in middle school.

It was definitely time for a retelling of this story. The acting was superb aside from Steinfeld. She was the weakest link in the film, unfortunately. Booth acted circles around her. Aside from that, A++
