First let's start with the good. The game has terrific graphics and menus, and toss in some unique play modes. Career mode progression is slow and you can't choose where to put your status points. Controls are quirky and joystick is sensitive to the slightest movements. There is poor to mediocre choices in courses to play, but the graphic detail and commentary is excellent. Overall not as good as Tiger Woods but it's golf, there is always room for improvement.

The game doesn't have as many features, courses, and golfers as previous entries in the franchise, but it's gameplay still ensures that it's the best golf game for current gen consoles

The graphics and overall style of the game are on-par with other sports related titles. That alone would qualify this as a good purchase for any golf fans out there, but, the added aspects of "non-traditional" play help even more. There are the usual formats for creating a golfer and starting your own pro career, playing as a pro in multiple real-world formats, and earning experience points that gain you new/better equipment, etc. The "Nightclub" venue is just another way to have fun while practicing the skills necessary to do well in the other modes and the characters add a bit of variety too.

Graphics and physics are great, and then it goes downhill. Game play is alright, but game mode/progression keep it from really being a good game. I miss the match play progression against eccentric fictional characters. Developers got the graphics and physics on point, and then got lazy with the story/game progression. Too bad.

This game won't blow you away but the graphics are great. All the courses are very detailed and the game can be changed to play for a rookie golfer or a pro.

I really like this golf game. It's a little repetitive but still fun.

It was actually highly disappointing. Absolute lack of content compared to previous EA Sports PGA titles. Lack of character customization and lack of courses. The core gameplay was still there and decent, but overall this game was lacking any real meat to it's bones.

Rory is cool and all, and a great player in Golf. But I still like Tiger the best. This game is similar to all other EA Golf games. Just improved graphics.

I bought my copy after playing with some friends over a long weekend. It's an easy game to jump into and enjoy a round with your friends, and gives you a couple of control options which is nice; the EA swing of the joystick or the old 3 button push, it's nice to have your choice. You can also play a "career" mode which is really just a season of golf and short, but playable. The customization of the player seems a bit limited compared to other games I have played but perhaps they will fix this later ( ? ). The courses are good, with a decent variety to keep you playing for a while. I have run into a couple of minor problems: The putt read line, while sometimes helpful, can also be very misleading; I've had it show an almost flat level shot to the cup that when hit ended up yards away to one side ( as an example). The other issue can be trying to use the camera to aim your shot; you can end up aiming through a tree, peeking through the leaves, but not the end of the world. Overall a fun game and worth purchasing if you enjoy a fairly realistic game of golf !

The lower the price the better off you'll feel about buying this game. Course selection is slim, online mode is pretty basic as you golf at the same time as your opponents. While this speeds up the round, it makes things a little less exciting when someone has a great shot and you can't see it. EA has yet to add any value to the game, so don't pay full price for it...Buy pre-owned!

The game itself is very easy when it comes to the controls, etc., but, I was a little disappointed at the lack of certain courses on it (I guess due to licensing/restrictions). Also, I was surprised that the "nightclub" feature was not more entertaining than it was. I enjoyed the game, but, haven't played much after my first couple of seasons.

I was a huge fan of the Tiger Woods named EA golf games of the past, so I was extremely disappointed to see that most of the additional game modes had been eliminated. The gameplay experience itself is solid but the lack of other game modes ;skins, bingo bango bongo etc. make this rather disappointing.

Saw this was pre-owned with a good price tag. Recently played it and was impressed with the gameplay. Built my own character and hit the links. Having fun playing and would recommend to anyone who likes the game of golf.

Not your Tiger Woods golf game. Has a learning curve

game play simulations is awesome. perfect game for golf lovers because of all the equipment you can unlock.

Rory McIlroy picked up the ball where Tiger woods golf left off. I've always enjoyed EA sports golf games and this one is no different. The game play is similar with a few tweaks. Plenty of courses to play with beautiful scenery. The course in Maine is my favorite. The season long race for the FedEx cup is also really fun.

the game is okay but the realness is what prompted me to award it 4 stars
