Bought it for my son for school, he seems to like it so far.

I purchased the 5 level Spanish course. Even though the installation CDs/DVDs are included in the package they are considered "recovery" discs. You actually have to download each of the 5 modules from the Rosetta Stone website which takes at least an hour on a high speed Internet connection. I think the bottleneck here was the Rosetta Stone server and not my high speed Internet connection. For those customers like myself that may have used other language learning software there is NO English language translation for the Spanish words that are presented in each module. For example, the very first word taught is "hola". This is presented by pictures of several people waving and a Spanish speaker pronouncing the word. I already knew the meaning of "hola" (hello) but there is no English language translation presented on the screen. Essentially you have to figure out what's being presented by matching pictures with the written and spoken word. This may work for some people but it didn't do much for me. If I could return it for a refund, I would.

I bought this bundle as a gift, paying more for a bundle that included a headset. When we called Rosetta Stone for help with getting the headset to work, the rep said, "We don't recommend that kind of headset" to which we replied, "Why is it in YOUR bundle then?" Get Rosetta Stone - it's great - just don't get this bundle and buy your headset separately, like we had to do eventually anyway.

The courses are straightforward they teach you all the basics you will need to carry basic conversations.

I really is enjoying the Rosetta. It's been so helpful and I'm excited so far
