I really like the Rosetta Stone product it brakes down the language you wish to learn . It has a microphone so you can say the word back and the program will help you pronounce the word right . I really think this is a great product it has really helped me learn basic spanish .

Amazing guide, move at your own pace, learns and reads my voice. Can skip voice lessons if you want, learns with pictures and words. Work at it everyday for a few minutes and stick with it you will learn in no time.

I don't use this nearly as much as I would love to use it. I was really addicted to it when I first started using it though. I think its really useful. You would have to purchase the online access to take full advantage of Rosetta Stone. Overall its a really good product to use and works well as long as your dedicated to using it.

Very efficient and not excruciating. Don't have expectation of loading onto hardware and 'voila' you're fluent. Put your time in and your results will be surprisingly quick. There is no magic to being multi-lingual, except starting as an infant, and if you're reading this, your probably late. The trick is to learning with the most efficient method and learning what's important. I have a head full of facts useless in the real world from too much classroom time.

This program did not meet my expectations. My biggest issue with this purchase was that if you do not have a CD/DVD drive for your computer, you cannot download the program. The only reason I bought it was because the sales associate at Best Buy said I could still download the program with the online activation code that came with it. However, the online code was only good for 3 months. So, I essentially spent close to $300 for only 3 months of Rosetta Stone which I really didn't learn anything from. I am much happier taking a basic Spanish course at my community college; it's more organized, cheap and effective. I've learned more from my college course in 2 weeks than I did with 3 months of Rosetta Stone.

If you have done the Spanish in HS trip, but that was 30 years ago, this is your ticket. You will start to feel more at ease blurting out those Spanish phrases in no time without the fear of insulting one's mother again.
