It's too complicated to use it. For a starter it isn't easy.

My French is really rusty, I bought this and I usually study for 30 minutes before i go to sleep. I feel like I can dream in French. It's nice that it also comes with a nice headphone and microphone.

Does Not Use Your Native Language, Only Photos

I was excited with this purchase until I spent several hours immersed inside. I was quickly disappointed to discover that nothing was in English, just French words thrown at me with photos. It is a quick way to learn objects, but a horrible experience trying to guess the meaning of the other words thrown at you. They quickly get into large sentences where all I have is a photo of an egg and six French words. I'm like, okay, it's an egg on a plate. What are they asking? What do these words really mean? I have one egg? I have a large white egg? Which one is the egg and how much is it? You get thrown into a loop trying to pass each section, but with no native language, your only way to save time is to Google the french words. The interface is dated (2011) and this was my first time in seven plus years adding multiple CDs into my Mac. Fortunately, I still have a Mac with a drive. I'm going to France soon and this has been a total waste of time. Fortunately, French tutors are readily available.

My grandparents bought me French levels 1 and 2 my freshman year of college, that was 6 years ago. I have since decided to try brushing up on my French as I'm planning an internship in Senegal and have a new laptop, the last one I sold it for its parts. I don't still have the activation code from six years ago, my grandfather has since then passed away and my grandmother doesn't remember where he purchased it. And no, we don't save our receipts for 6 years. I understand that the reps are only doing their job, but your policy is ridiculous. You need to find a more reasonable method to regulate the use of your products. My grandparents paid for a product I can no longer use because I don't have proof of purchase. I have the CD cases and the CD's themselves. I have no way of tracking down proof of purchase. I would like to know, if you were in my situation, what you would recommend that I do? I understand the need to make sure the product was paid for, but your policies are far too restrictive. I've chatted and emailed about this issue three different times and everyone sends me somewhere else, I was told by a chat rep to do xyz via email, I replied to the email about the same situation they told me I needed to chat with someone. I emailed the back and explained that I already had and they ignored me. Under no circumstances is it acceptable for a company to ignore their customers. A couple of my peers are traveling with me and also trying to study French, but I refuse to recommend rosetta stone after this situation. I'm not trying to trick a company into letting me use a version 3 of levels 1 and 2 French for free, and that's how I feel when I correspond with your reps.
