I really do like this item. The headphones are comfortable and stay in well. Audio sounds good. But the best part of this product is that you can charge it using Qi wireless. It doesn't charge very fast using this method but it is a lot easier than using USB charging. One downside is that in the box there was very little in the way of instructions on how to use or even connect it to my phone. Instead, there is a web address you have to go to which explains everything you need. I find it annoying when companies don't add even a quick start guide in the box and you have to go elsewhere to find the important information. Once I charged the headphones and went to the web address it was easy to connect the headphones to my phone. They stay connected well and basically just do everything that the box says they should do. The app allows you to track where your headphones are if you lose them. That feature works well but it only tells you the address of where they are and doesn't give you any more information. Overall, it is a good item, especially if you like having headphones that are as small as possible.

The Rowkin Ascent Charge Plus are unique in many respects. For me, this is my first pair of truly wireless earphones in the respect that there are no wires connecting the earphones together. The brand itself was previously unknown to me individually, but after asking around it is a up and coming big name that is making more and more creative products all the time. This product is one of their flagship devices and you can see they put a lot into it. These earphones have Bluetooth 5.0. They connect extremely well with my iPhone X, and I don’t get interrupted coverage with them as I have with other Bluetooth earphones. What I noticed with Bluetooth earphones in general, is that as you move around they get breaks in the wireless connection. This is annoying if you are running, walking, or whatever you are doing. Since using these earphones I have not experienced that yet. I walk, use the hamster wheel Qi charging is a great convenience. The earphones are carried in their own portable case helping you keep track of them. That is helpful because they are small. Then you can charge the case itself which is use to charge the earphones. Plus, the case can be used to charge your other electronic devices as a power bank. I’d you don’t like using the Qi charger, you have the option to plug the case directly into the wall socket. As far as battery life for the earphones, if you are listening to videos or music, they claim a 3.5 hour battery life. This is not much, but given the size of the earphones it is hard to figure out where they even have a battery! Although I don’t feel 3.5 is much, it seems to be the industry standard right now so I cannot complain. The fact that the storage case also charges them more than makes up for that. The Rowkin App is pretty cool. You can actually adjust the sound to the music you are listening to, or create some custom sound that feels right to you. All adjustments can be made directly from the App and it updates the earphones directly. They have one additional feature that was unexpected. If you don’t know where your earphones are, you can enter the App on your phone and utilize a find my device feature. In doing that, you need to have your App adjusted in the settings to always be on. Some people don’t like to do that, but I could not use the feature unless it was set up that way. Speaking of the sound, they really sound good. If you are listening with just one, you don’t get the true effects of the spectrum of sound they produce. However, with both in they divide up the sound giving you a truly rich listening experience. They seem to stay in your ear better than I expected, at least for what I use them for. The earphones can also be controlled by tapping them. The series of taps that corresponds with the command can be adjusted in the App. Commands include play, pause, forward to next song, etc. You use both earphones to utilize this feature. You can also take and end calls with this tapping command option. So basically you can leave your phone in your pocket unless you need to pick a different play list. It takes some getting used to, but the learning curve ends quickly and you will find you use it a lot. All things said, I was impressed and really like these earphones. I wanted something I can use while riding my motorcycle that would cut out some of the noise, as well as for fitness and casual listening. The call feature is nice and I love the case it comes in. The price is average for this type of device, and you get more than what you are paying for. Definitely a great option for anyone from the causal listener to someone using them during a workout. I highly recommend them.

I bought these ear buds after reading reviews online on how good they were and they have let me down. The case won’t hold a charge and the buds themselves only lasted an hour. Not worth wasting your money on.

So I really like these truly wireless headphones. I have another pair of truly wireless earbuds by Rowkin (bit stereo). However my phone has a usb-c port and the bit stereo had micro USB and I really didn't want to have to carry 2 cords around with me all the time. When I found out about these and that they had usb-c and wireless charging I knew I wanted it. They sound great I haven't had any issues with the sound going out at all, I had to move the rubber rings because they felt too big with them in. The only downside I have is that everytime I put them in they make the volume on my phone get really loud and I have to turn it down a lot. I know it is the earbuds bc every other Bluetooth device connects fine and leaves the volume where it is at. If I could figure out a way to keep the volume from getting super loud when they connect to my phone I would change my rating to a 5 star and not say anything bad about them again. Other than that I love the.

To to put it mildly, these have been a really fun pair of earbuds and the most excited I’ve been to try out earbuds in quite some time. At first I found it impossible to get the buds to seal well in my ear, no matter which gel size I used, without literally turning them 180 degrees the wrong way. This was fine for just listening to music but it meant the mic was facing the wrong way and was sub-optimal for phone use. Quite accidentally I soon found out that the rubber ring around the bud (called a retention ring, but which in my case served more as a prevention ring) was designed to be easily removable even though there is no mention of them in the manual at all. I guess for some people this ring somehow helps but in my case it was literally the reason they would not fit deep enough into my ear for anything more than mediocre sound. Once I removed the retention/prevention ring the buds finally fit snugly, in the correct orientation, with the medium gels and sounded ohhh so much better. Maybe you’ll be fine with the ring, but if you find yourself struggling to get a good fit removing the ring is right up there with trying the different gel sizes. And the ring slides right back on if you decide you want it back. Once I got the fit worked out and used the buds more my favorite feature quickly became that I can easily use the earbuds together for stereo or that I can use them one at a time and that they are smart enough to consolidate both the left and right audio into a joined mono channel automatically when used individually. At work where I literally need to keep one ear clear to hear ambient sound this is perfect as using the buds one at a time allows me to both effectively double the useful battery life of the earbuds and still clearly hear what’s going on around me. Combine that with that I can charge one bud in the case while using the other I pretty much have non-stop use of one bud at a time and this flexibility alone has made them my go-to bluetooth buds. I found the charging case can get me through keeping the buds themselves charged and ready for at least an entire week of even heavy “all-day” use, and it helps that the case also natively charges my USB-C phone, even charging my phone at the “rapid charge’ rate which was surprisingly impressive -- I’ve not had any other portable charger yet that would even pretend to do that. It may prove to be a bit too good to be true though as the case quickly dropped from 4 bars (full) to empty in about 15 minutes when charging my phone at this rate. So while it’s good to know I can charge my phone with this case, I’ll probably reserve that for emergencies since that particular use appears to deplete the case quite quickly. The kit also provides a single-coil Qi charging pad. I've not had a Qi charger before so I was excited to give this a try, but a few days into it and I decided the Qi charger was more hassle than it was worth -- the item has to be precisely placed for efficient charging and you have to have a dedicated spot cleared for the charging pad. If Qi charging is important to you then, hey, at least it's a an option but it ultimately seemed more of a gimmick and a slight hassle than something actually useful. I felt more confined and precarious using Qi charging than freed by it and that seems a step in the wrong direction. This is not directly a problem with the Rowkin Ascent Charge+ since it's just a standard they are using and make available as an option. If Qi charging is not your thing then you can still plug it in -- I commend Rowkin itself for keeping both options. The sound of the buds is satisfactory but not extraordinary. This could well be a minor matter of fit as I can get better sound if I use a finger to put slight additional pressure on them, but that sound boost goes away as soon as I release that extra bit of pressure. Changing ear gels did not make any improvement in my case, the bottom line is that I personally got the best sound using the medium gels with the retention/prevention ring removed. This will be completely an individual matter, they fit perfectly and give you deep rich sound with no modification at all. The Rowkin app is handy and gives you the ability to pick from several equalizer presets, see the charge level of each bud, and shows a cheat-sheet of the tap-patterns to trigger different media control functions from each bud. These are not the best sounding pair of buds I”ve ever had but they are far and away the most comfortable and flexible and they may finally replace the aging around-the-neck headset I’ve repeatedly tried and failed to find an adequate replacement for. These might just prove to be the headset that finally lets me put them to rest.

    Truly Wireless, Truly Awesome

This is the first set of wireless headphones that I have actually enjoyed owning. While other headphones have fit poorly, had poor sound, no app control for sound settings, or short battery life, it seems Rowkin has taken their time in bringing a good product to market and included everything one would want in this complete system. Starting with what you came for: The headphones. They are small, lightweight, and the sound is amazing. Music is crystal clear, both in the lows and highs, and has rich bass that was exceptional. One key here is that you will ABSOLUTELY need to get the Rowkin app for your phone to be able to control the sound mode. It appears the headphones start in “Voice” mode which has little-to-no bass and makes the music sound a little tinny. Changing over to a mode with more bass fixed this completely and made the sound perfect. At one point while listening to a sports postgame, I thought there was a little bit of rattle in the speakers in the headphone, but after focusing a little more on the sound, it was clear I was actually hearing an issue with rattling with the announcer’s microphone. If sound is that clear that I can hear issues with the guy’s mic, that tells you how pure the sound actually is. The buds fit very well in the ear, although the design of them makes it look like a bolt sticking out of your ear. I think the aesthetic design could have been a bit better, but the sound is really what you’re concerned with. The buds feature an angled earpiece that is designed to follow the ear canal for the best sound, versus a straight piece that ends up against the wall of your ear and affects the purity of the sound. Controls for the headphones (next song, pause, answer phone, etc.) are done with a capacitive touch on the outer tip of the headphones so there are no physical buttons to have to push. On the same note about fit, a lot of reviewers said they couldn’t figure out the best way to put the earphones in your ear. As someone used to using stethoscopes the last 30 years, maybe I found it more intuitive. Bottom line is line up the buds to follow your ear canals (toward the back of your head) and they will fit just fine. The next best thing about the headphones is the case they come in. A fairly rugged, all-aluminum case with a sliding door to access the headphones, this will hold up against drops and any other wear & tear you can throw at it. The case not only holds the headphones but also charges them, and the case itself hits the “truly wireless” mark by being charges via the included QI charger. Simply rest the case on the QI charging pad and you’re recharged. You can also charge via USB-C cord if you’re away from the QI pad or need a more rapid charge than QI can provide. Additionally, the case can be turned into a power bank to recharge any other USB device. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB female adapter to reverse the connector to allow you to plug your phone or other USB-C device into it to steal power. While I haven’t tried this yet, I can’t imagine you’re going to get a ton of charge out of the bank, just enough probably to get your phone back up & running when it’s dead or about to die. I found aligning the headphones in the case to recharge/store was a little wonky. I figured out that if you align the “R” logo on the headphones in the same direction as the “R” logo on the outside of the case, that’s the perfect alignment for storing and charging the headphones. Again, not a problem, just one of those “pro tips” when you get your set. Rowkin touts these headphones as their “flagship” wireless headphones, and I can easily see why. This set of headphones has everything you would want in a good quality set of wireless buds, from sound, to style, to fit, to charging and storing, Rowkin has really set the bar high for other manufacturers to meet for headphones in this price range.

This is the first set of bluetooth headphones I have had. I never really had much faith in the sound of a non-wired headphone, however, these have really changed my mind. The sound is very good, very accurate and the bass is very strong. I have really been impressed at how good these in ear headphones have performed. Battery life is very good, over 3 hours of use and the charging cradle can double as a battery backup for other devices. I haven't found anything that I would consider a negative with these units. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality in ear headphone. They are top quality.

I have had a couple rowkin products in the past, and even though they were "cool"; they seem to have minor issues and these are no different. Like others, I had initial difficulty paring them, and, once they were paired, I returned them to the charger, and when I took them out, they didnt pair automatically as the manual said they would. Once I figured out how to fix that, they have been fine ever since, autopairing as they should. The sound is pretty good depending on your source, and, with so many EQ apps out there, its easy to tweak them to how you want them to sound. the fit is pretty good, but not sure how they would stay if you were a speed runner, or, was doing alot of intense exercises, but for normal use, they stay put. The main negative is how they sound on phone calls for the person on the other end; everyone I have called has complained about how poor it sounds on their end; on my side, its fine, but, on the other end of the call, its poor Anyways, most people buy these for the music, and, in that area, they work just fine..at 99 dollars, they were a good value; at 140, I dont think so..

I love the fit of these headphones.. Ive been doing Insanity workout with no problem. This biggest issue is the sound quality. The music sounds distanced and soft. I have turn up the volume on my phone to 80% to hear something I've download the App and not much improvement on the sound quality. The fit alone I would recommend to everyone however the sound quality might lead unhappy customers.

Just past the two week mark, these headphones started randomly connecting to my phone while they were in my bag. This is really annoying - not only does it stop playing audio out of the intended device, but it also drains the battery on the case and on the headphones. When this is not an issue, the headphones do work and have decent sound quality. The companion app also helps.

I liked these at first, fit great, good sound, and I loved how many uses I could get out of the charger without having to recharge it. However, people complain about not being able to hear me on the phone with them connected. Then, a few weeks after having them, I started to realize that they were connecting to my phones Bluetooth from the charging case and draining the battery! I would go to answer my phone and not realize that they were connected therefore I couldn’t hear the other person and they couldn’t hear me. I tried just having my Bluetooth turned off on my phone, but I would then go to use the headphones and the charging case and the headphones would be dead. I don’t know if this is a problem with the product in general or just mine, but It doesn’t make me love the product!
