This Shredder chews through paper leaving the crosscut pattern into about 3/8" x 3/4" long rectangles, making it very hard to read the final shredded product. The DVD/CDs are cut into 3 long pieces, but it's a disc there's no need to make confetti out of it. There is a removable bin that makes it easy to dump the shredded waste. It comes with wheels that attach to the bottom for easy mobility. The shredder has separate slots for credit cards, DVD/CD's, and then the main paper slot, which helps to guide the feed better for the rigid oblong shape of those items. The shredder is somewhat loud, but the motor really works well and I would rather have a powerful shredder that gets the job done than a quiet one that doesn't work. I haven't found any other flaws yet that would have made me hesitate before buying this shredder. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Though I have only had this shredder for around a month, it seems to have been a good investment as it is small, handles up to ten sheets of paper, and is extemely quiet. The removable "drawer" is easy to dump the paper shreds. I would suggest this to any small business owner.

I love the fact that it chews up staples & CD's, DVD's. It does chew a lot of pages at once.

I have had many shredders, at work, home & other homes. I have never felt with those very easy because always had to make the shredder work for me by forcing the paper into the shredder till it took it in but with this shredder I don't have to do anything like that. I just put the paper on the slot don't even have to push it in just put it on the slot and it starts taking it in. Its like butter and a knife. I love it.

Easy to use and does a credible job of shredding as many as 10 pages at a time. But, I shred several CD/DVDs sometimes and the shredding job is just mediocre. I would like more of a crosscut type of result.

The customer care representative was very kind when I called for assistance on the purchase. And that alone deserves an Excellent rating. I still have alot more to feed into it, but for the amount I did so far, I am a little surprised that I haven't purchased a Shredder sooner.

I tried a couple other machines, which were more expensive, and returned them because they jammed right away. Although somewhat small, this is a nice machine that works very well. It is cheaper than most others and I am very happy with it. .

i read the other reviews and even read reviews elsewhere and everyone loves this thing. so i was very surprised to be so disappointed by a paper shredder. after all, it has one job only. i feel i probably got a dud, to be fair, since everyone else loves this product. mine couldn't handle 3 pieces of paper at a time- it would actually shut down. then, whether i put one sheet or 3, all the paper would accumulate right under the blades, very little would fall into the basket- thus causing it to jam even worse. every few sheets, i'd have to remove the basket and grab handfuls of shredded paper out from under the blades so it could continue to work. \unfortunately, this will have to go back to the store.

Was a replacement for one that broke. So far I have had no issue with this model. Love that I have a separate slot for credit cards or CD's

when i brought this item i was very happy with this unit it does what it says it does it doesn't over heat and works real well i would tell my friends this is the best i purchased .

We bought this to replace a shredder we had for several years. It's for home use, probably a total of 20-30 sheets of paper each week. After 4 months, it just died...completely dead. Called Royal tech support and were told that we needed to take it to a certified Royal repair shop. When we asked for the location of one, we were told that there isn't a Royal repair shop in the entire state of Minnesota. Then we were told there was nothing else they could/would do to help us. We'll never buy another Royal product.

I am very pleased with the overall performance of the shredder. All functions work quite well!
