Granted, this is a studio recording, but it always impresses me when a small band can sound much larger than they are. Such is the case with English rockers Royal Blood. They have a sound that can be described as a cross between stoner rock & garage rock. This is definitely in your wheelhouse if you like bands such as Queens Of The Stone Age and The White Stripes. But what really caught my attention about this band is they accomplish their thick, intense sound with just a set of drums and a very loud, distorted bass guitar. The novelty of their unconventional arrangement will get them noticed, but their songs will maintain the interest of those who give them a listen. I look forward to seeing where this young band will go down the road.

Great new Music. Like all the tracks on this disk.

I initially heard these two on 93X back in July and was intrigued. I'm a huge fan of Arctic Monkeys and Jack White/Raconteurs/White Stripes so I waited for the full length to come out at the end of August. Needless to say it has not left my cd player in my car since. I absolutely love it, front to back it's amazing. I even had the pleasure of seeing them at Mill City Nights in September and I cannot wait until they return! (Unless I go to them!)

To imagine that two lads can make so much noise. Royal Blood kicks royal butt. The songs and sound are fresh sounding and strait forward. The singer has a great voice and gets sounds out of his bass that are amazing. The drummer is one of the best I've ever heard.. Bonham, Moon, Lars...and then this guy.

This album is just two guys with two instruments. That said, there's a lot going on and all of it good. It's clean, catchy, and relatively hard. It's the kind of stuff you have to play loud, and you'll be happy to.

Explosive debut for Royal Blood. Ever since I heard Out of the Black on a local radio station I've been hooked. Solid rock album. I look forward to what these guys will do next!

I first found this band online, and I was hooked. While I enjoyed the album overall, it would have been nice to have a little change of pace in the track selection. However, I'm overall impressed with this group's first effort, and I look forward to more.

Really good album to listen to. Has a old school sound which I really like which is pretty awesome for a two piece band. Nice addition to your collection.

I downloaded a song of theirs on iTunes, and I was hooked. The album is raw-sounding garage rock at its finest that hasn't been around for a long time, in my opinion. Definitely worth buying to me.

I have seen Royal Blood a couple of times in clubs in LA and North Carolina. Great live band and their energy is captured on this CD!

The price was great. The album is excellent, every song is awesome. Now the band is on tour with foo fighters!

Great debut album. A little short in my overall taste, entire disc is just over 31 mins but all songs are great and no filler! Makes the listener beg for more.

Listen to this cd very loud. It's amazing this band consists of just two members. Sounds like four!!

I wish I had heard of this band earlier. Solid effort from a blues based duo, sound familiar? They are not the BLACK KEYS but they rock.
