If you love sports movies, and the struggle to achieve greatness, "Rudy" should be on the top of that list. This is one of those films that belongs in every movie collection.

I have watched this movie at least a dozen times and every time it keeps me enthralled to the very end. I know how the movie is going to end, but Sean Astin so vividly protrays Rudy you not only see his disappointments, you feel them. While he might be better known for the "Lord of the Rings", Astin absolutely shines in this movie. The supporting cast take to their parts like few movies I have seen. This is an absolute not miss for anyone. You don't have to be a sports fan as the sports aspect is secondary to Rudy's quest to be a part of the team. The movie will make you feel part of Rudy's life and celebrate his success.

Each time history changes the media type that we watch movies on, I upgrade this movie! VHS, then DVD, now I upgraded to BluRay (since the price was right). It is a heartwarming sports story. I catch myself watching it every time I see it on cable, and often put in the video to avoid commercials. It is a positive message of never stop trying. Set a goal, and do whatever it takes to accomplish it, and change people's lives for the better along the way! Best of all, it is a TRUE STORY!

A great 'real-life' story about persistently pursuing your dream that you have for yourself, has a number of 'points' embedded in it about what it takes to pursue what you truly desire to do in the face of potent opposition to your doing so. Wonderful for children to view with their parents, as well as great encouragement for anyone pursuing something worthwhile in the face of opposition.

THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SPORTS MOVIES. A REAL STORY OF HEART OVERCOMING PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. IT WAS SHOT ON LOCATION IN NOTRE DAME AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. THE PICTURE QUALITY AND SOUND ARE GREAT. BLURAY IS THE WAY TO GO. THERE ARE A FEW MOVIES EVERY COLLECTION SHOULD HAVE AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM. IT WAS DELIVERED FROM BEST BUY IN 2 DAYS

Found this in the bargain bin and had to pick it up. One of the best stories of pure heart and blind ambition. Every dream has its consequences and rewards but sometimes someone's drive is so immense that it can impact everyone around them. It's a movie I would love to share with my kid someday.
