I bought this to replace a DVD version. I have always really enjoyed this movie. It does have a small budget but it does make the most of it and seems must larger. There are some real clever/smart directorial choices in this film... I won't spoil any here, but if you like good film-making then this won't disappoint.

Good picture, good sound, fun watch. Cool music. was in subtitles, but had my attention the whole time.

A real gem of a film! Unique, progressive German film. A must buy on blu-Ray for fans. Great price

The absolute BEST movie you've never heard of. Starts with a bang and never lets up. Lola's boyfriend has been entrusted with a large amount of drugs to deal, his first. He leaves them unwittingly on a train and now the supplier is going to kill him for his mistake. Lola is literally running to get to him before he's murdered. The movie has 3 different endings and will leave you cheering when it's finally, exhaustingly over. It's German with English subtitles and I wouldn't watch it any other way. You might remember Franka Potenta from the Bourne Supremacy with Matt Damon. She shines in her role here. Amazing movie.

I bought Run Lola Run on BluRay to replace my DVD version. This is an interesting movie with some very clever direction. The story presents a situation - then jumps through three causality scenarios where the possible outcomes are changed by a different alignment in the chain of events. I also thought it was pretty smart that the director also lets you see some of the causality for people that Lola may encounter on the street (rapid flash forward with still photographs). This is a lower budget German made film (English dub is on the soundtrack or use the native language and English subtitles for a better experience, especially on the 2nd viewing). This is a good flick to have in the library if you're a film collector.

I had previous copies of this movie, in both VHS and DVD formats, and the Blu-ray version is great to see. This movie really brought the German film industry into prominence. The plot is simple to follow. The only downside is that the dialog in German can be hard to follow. The actors speak quickly and often quite softly. The subtitles in English, in my opinion, don't always match the German; there are a few f-bombs in English that aren't in the German dialog. This was created for the MTV generation, but it's a fun and satisfying 90 minutes of film.

The German film industry has rebounded in the past few years and this movie is an excellent representative of it. It appeals more to a younger audience; the characters are more relatable to that age group. The actors are very good. A viewer should be aware that there is some strong language in the subtitles, which are necessary, since the dialog comes fast and even has some dialect.

This is a live action pre-remake of the original featuring all of the same cast. The action sequences have real motion and the music has authentic audible sound with notes and tempo. Warning: Spoilers: When the protagonist overcomes the principle dilemma the story actually concludes with a resolution which is more than I can say for other narratives where this does not happen. It's not as good as that other movie, but it's better than that other other movie that wasn't as good.

This is one of the older Blu-ray releases that have the blue toned art on the inner side of the case! Unfortunately it also has the crappy clasp opener too but that is okay. I had heard about this movie and never seen it but im really glad I did, it was an entertaining and unique trip of a movie, great music and energy. Twisty and unexpected too!

This movie is a real adrenaline shot that combines lots of different mediums that don't feel like they should work together but they somehow do. Clearly of its time but it all pretty much works even today. Just know that sections of the movie were shot in a lo-res digital format so while this blu-ray looks great, certain sequences will never look any better because of the format it was shot in (i.e. like 28 days later).

When I first saw this movie I was in college- I was a German minor and figured it would help with my Deutsch, I knew it was Oscar nominated, but I didn't expect to get hooked on the movie. I've owned the DVD before, but it's definitely better on blu ray. For this price I'm contemplating buying 10 copies to hand out to my friends!

Sort of like the old saying, "If at first you don't succeed, try try again."Brilliant visuals, colorful cinematography, a driving film score, and a stunning performance by Franka Potente(and don't forget her best supporting role by her fire red hairdo).Can't wait to see what director Tom Tykwer has up his sleeve next.......

One of the most interesting movies I've seen and unlike any other. I now understand the reviews noting going back and picking up on missed details. Well worth the $5 sale price. Voice over is a little rough but adds to the character of the movie; subtitles aren't exact to the dialogue either. It was fun, give it a try.

The Germans are not really well known for their movies however this is one of their best. Simple story line with three alternate endings and good sound track make this one of the best German productions along with the lives of others and goodbye Lenin

Mila Jovovich is famous for The 5th Element and the Resident Evil movies. THis is the movie she should be famous for. Lola has to run... literally... across the city to save boyfriend... and herself. It is the choices she makes on the way that determine whether or not there will be a happy ending.

I loved this movie when I saw it the first time on video tape back in 1999. In German, with English subtitles, this is a wild and exciting fast-paced movie that cannot be neatly assigned to a type or genre. She keeps on having to repeat an hour over and over again to save her boyfriend.

I never get tired of "Lola rennt," though I've watched it at least 20 times. The 80 minutes zip by and the soundtrack remains hypnotic after nearly 20 years. It's a low-budget film, so don't expect mind-blowing visuals. but the transfer is still quite nice. The commentary is good, too.

This movie was ground breaking when made, influence the Matrix series. Lola re traces her activities until she rescues her boyfriend. We generally have to do things more than once to get it right. Movie has me at the edge of chair to see her solve the problem.
