Good Idea, big design flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waist your $$ on this unit. Russound has moved the spear wirk block external and tied it in with a CAT5 cable. Nice idea but impossible to successfully wire 16 wires in such a tiny space. Screw are too small and close together to be practical. Exposed wire touch too easy and short channels out. Try to get this wired block into a single gang box without wires releasing is impossible. Unit is also down on power a 15W / channel compared to the usual 20W in other units. Go with the CAA66 and save yourself hours of frustration and eventual returns. Talked with Russound Tech who described unit as his "least favorite" and "flawed".
