Great concept but limited features and not much protection. Missed the mark.

The idea was great but I don't know if there was a glitch but my phone was shutting down when I would close the cover. I had to return it.

I bought this from BB on the same day I picked up my pre-ordered Note 7. I honestly knew nothing about it There were a number of choices available on the shelf, but what attracted me to this one was that when the cover is closed, the time and date (and some other notifications) will still appear on the front. Better yet, when a call comes in, the Caller ID appears on the front and lets you answer the call without opening the case. However, now that I've had it for a week, I think the best thing I like about it is that that it doesn't increase the phone's profile very much ... not like many of the other cases. Calling it a "cover" rather than a "case" seems appropriate to me. When closed, it offers decent protection for both the front and back of the phone, while leaving the sides, top and bottom open to allow normal operation, and obviously it has an opening on the back for your camera as well. I can also keep the cover on the phone when using the wireless charger. Although some may decide that an extra screen protector is simply not needed when using this cover, I opted to put on a Zagg screen protector in addition to the cover. They work very well together, so I feel that my phone is decently protected. Just a couple of days ago, I was showing a co-worker my new Note 7. He owns an S7 Edge for which he currently has no case because he simply doesn't like the bulk that most cases add. When he saw my phone cover however, he immediately said "that's exactly what I want". Now I have a problem. As many may know, the battery life of the Note 7 isn't as good as some other phones, in part due to it's smaller battery (as compared to the S7 Edge). I had decided that as soon as they became available, I'd purchase one of the battery cases (such as those from Samsung or Mophie). The trouble is now ... I simply don't want to get rid of this cover. I love it. So now I'm wondering if I should instead get a separate battery pack and use it as needed, and still be able to keep this cover.

Very good protection without adding bulk.

I purchased this after seeing the lowered scratch resistance of gorilla glass 5 as compared to the 4th generation. I also saw a LOT of negative reviews about tempered glass covers for the Note 7. I bought this based upon several reviews, and I am impressed. It has taken several scratches from times when I carelessly left my keys in my pocket, but I would rather scratch this than the $900 phone it encases.

I like the clear display with notifications visible when the case is closed. However, the smudge factor is an issue. The screen is too shiny thus easily shows prints. The biggest issue though is that it is slippery. I have had the phone for two week and never had the phone slip from my hands. Since yesterday evening, the phone slipped and dropped three time after putting this case on.
