Customers are satisfied with some aspects of Sacred 3, but find the gameplay to be somewhat linear and short. Some players felt the gameplay was only adequate and that the game lacked depth. The repetitive nature of fighting through enemies was also a point of criticism. Overall, opinions on the gameplay experience appear mixed.

Decent, but not Sacred

Lacks the sprawling open-world, detailed character-building, and frequent loot drops of Sacred 1 & 2. But as a modern update to the Gauntlet formula, it's not half bad. Just know that it's a Sacred game in name only.

An average game at best. Graphically it doesn't push the PS3. I play on a 50 inch TV and I find the camera much further from the action than I'd like. No loot drops in the game, only gold and health/energy orbs. Basically, the game is a Gauntlet game. However, if you are looking for a quick fix and not expecting an RPG, it scratches the itch.

So first let me say, I like hack and slash games, so I enjoyed this game. It gets alot of hate because it is nothing like the past games. They should have just called it something else and people would be more happy. The graphics are great, the music and dialog get repetitive, and its kinda a short game. I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone that likes a hack and slash game.

So this fantasy world game itself is NOT revolutionary in design, but the genre is rare these days and it is well done. If you've played "Gauntlet" than the style of the game is not new. But they don't make games like this much anymore so that alone is a nice change of pace from LEGO and Balman franchises. And there is an odd humor in the game so it doesn't take itself to seriously. Fun, not too cerebral and lots of fighting - sounds good to me.

This is NOT like the previous version. Very one directional. The exploration feature is completely thrown out the window. Very disappointed in the game maker.

This game simply isn't as good as the previous PC versions, which provided my wife and I many hours of entertainment. The graphics are great, but the gameplay is just ok. The gameplay is too linear compared to the previous 2 versions.

The game fixes lots of problems with the second entry. The second entry had so much nuisances that you couldn't finish. The only problem is this game tends to be more linear than expected.

It might be a hack and slash game, but it doesn't mean it's not fun to play.
