not able to grab ipad if using case or pop-sockets

I've used one similar, but has a clamp. This one tightens onto desk edges with a twist down knob. The main reason I returned it, is because it does not fit iPad mini4 with a case. Taking the case off is a hassle for me, because I don't want to keep it in this holder. So I wish it had bigger feet. Same problem with pop-sockets. Any extra girth of your device will make this not fit the feet. And then I read in product description that it is 11 inches, but it only expands to about 7.5 inches. But pivot arm can move 180 or any direction, so if it clamps on only length wise on iPad mini without case, that's fine. For the smaller iphone, it can stretch to bite onto head and foot of iphone. pictures attached. Also because the grabbing feet are small, it makes removing a device cumbersome, it slams shut. somehow I got it to stay open fully stretched, to take a picture, but it will slam and pinch fingers.

Great product for the price. I wanted it to hold my cell phone while I play Destiny II. This would keep me hands free. Once I got it set up (no instructions)and placed my phone when I typed the phone shook like crazy. So I added 2 zip locks and bingo worked perfectly. See my attached photo i use white instead of black so you could see where i have them. Black doesn't show.

This is a must have and engineered insanely good and simple. I can have my tablet playing while I work. Keep in mind it does move a bit when touching the tablet but settles down quickly.

I NEVER leave reviews but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Within 2 minutes of it being clamped the arm snapped while getting it into position.

    Convenient Watching

    Posted .

This is really useful to prop your tablet in to watch videos while relaxing. I was gifted this...and it fits my Fire tablet just fine, and seems to hold pretty secure. The movement is a bit stiff, but should loosen over time. I like that it can fit different sizes as well. I would say the price is a bit steep for a product such as this, and it doesn't even arrive in a nice box, just a typical cardboard box so it's not great for gifting... But overall, it's convenient and holds the tablet up for better viewing.

    Problems

    Posted .

This gooseneck flexible holder for tablets looks like it would be good if I could get it uncoiled and ‘assembled’. It is very stiff. There are no directions to show you how to set it up. I called SaharaCase and left a message telling them I needed help, but they never called me back. If you’re handy and have strong hands you could probably use it.

Its large and a bit clunky. You can mount it on tables and things but the grips you really have to tighten down because the wire holding the phone is so very stiff and hard to bend how you want it. Its nice that it doesn't feel like it will break but I can't seem to get it where I want it to go. The phone grip claps hold really well none of my devices have fallen but because its not very flexible I don't use it that often. it has a spring sound when pulling the claps so I'm afraid it will break over time if I pull to hard or over use it.

I like the idea behind the Gooseneck Flexible Holder I see the practicality. The only drawback with the product is that its supper stiff and not flexible at all. It was difficult to unravel but the overall quality is not bad for the price.

Okay but consider your iPad lineup

I thought it would hold my iPad Pro 11inch better as that’s what the picture displays, but the part that holds the iPad seems too weak making my iPad really wobbly. I have no concerns about it falling, but it’s hard to mount it on my desk so I can’t watch the news while I work since the iPad is so heavy it angles downward and I can’t seem to fix it. Any smaller iPad like a regular or mini should work great!

Great way to hold your phone during video calls!

I needed something to keep my phone in front of me during video conferencing calls and this works perfectly! Hides my phone screen so only I can see it. I can put it just out of camera's view, too! It's difficult to get the gooseneck to come out for the first time, I admit it was a bit of a struggle - but I got it. And now it's a lot more flexible. The desk grip was tight too, but it loosened up as I went - now it's absolutely perfect a few days into it. I love how sturdy it is and makes my life so much easier during conference calls. No more fumbling and searching for my phone!

Does not hold an iPad up. The iPad (2018 9.7”) is too heavy and the mount is useless. Not only this but the clamp has broke. Now after my first use. Made of cheap plastic.

The jury is still out. From the pictures, it seems that the arm is very easy to bend into the various elegant shapes and positions in the promo photos. It’s not since it has to be very stiff to support heavy objects such as an iPad. The base and the clamp are made of plastic. I’m worried they might break through use. So far, so good but we’ll see.

For the price it seemed not too shabby, but a few months after having it a part inside near the base snapped when I was trying to bend the arm and now it doesn't hold up the same. I was hoping I could take it apart and see what snapped but there's no way to do that, so it's just not as sturdy as it once was. I probably should've spent a little more for something that wouldn't break so easily considering the amount of bending I'd need to do to it.

    Great for Video Making

I needed a way to record my laptop screen and my desk area with my iPhone so I didn't have to hold my phone cause I wasn't making very good videos.  Because the holder is flexible I'm able to use it for my videos and which is so much easier now. I like that it can hold my tablet and/or iPhone. I always have one or both near me at all times, while working online. Now I'm able to use them without having to even pick em up.  Speaker phone works so well because I can have my phone near my face without being in the way, so I no longer have the muffled sound that I had when it was setting on my desk. Overall for me it's very useful and I think it's easy to use, convenient and reasonably priced.

Works well on my desk! I’m able to watch videos while I work. The holder holds my iPad Pro 9.7 in tablet securely! Adjusting the holder is a little firm but once you get the desired form you’ll be ready to go.

    Not universal holder

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The phone holder does not grip my phone well. The phone pops off the holder too easily. Don't rely on it to not pop the phone out. I have discovered that a piece of double sided tape on one side seems to have solved the problem. I will probably have to replace the tape each time I take the phone off of here though.

I struggled to use this apple iPad pro 11 inch model. It was not able to hold the weight of IPad and tends to lean down. Also, it is a bit difficult to bend or straighten exactly to the way I want. I would not recommend it for ipad users.

SaharaCase Gooseneck Flexible Holder fits most cell phones and tablets. It holds my phones and tablets without a problem. The holder is very strong and durable! The bottom clip grips tightly onto the table and it stays in place. The wire is bendable so you can move it in any direction .The top clip is expandable to fit my iPhone or iPad and I can watch movies, take pictures, or videos with my flexible holder. I highly recommend using SaharaCase Gooseneck Flexible Holder to everyone!
