There is nothing protective about this product and you are buying a plastic "rim" that has a flimsy and poorly designed backside that leaves the end user with no protection. I replaced an Otterbox protective cover with this unit for the same reason and just purchased another protective case made by UGS that is not only designed better than the first two, but provides full protection on the outer rim and full backside of my Surface Pro 7. It is a shame that Surface devices don't have a better selection of protective cases available.

Keyboard fits
