Its nice built ,Very powerful, works perfectly,.nothing is complicated with this blender..... sometimes when you start in the suggested slowest level, the motor hums a little but that is normal if you put hard vegetables or frozen fruit packed at the bottom, but when you turn the knob to faster speeds it just obliterates everything, smooth results every-time. I even made hot soup with it. It is so great I stored my perfectly working Cuisinart blender,...maybe for good.

Purchased this product because of the great reviews and the price. Product was shipped very quickly. The first time in use it stalled in the middle of blending. Second day it seemed to reboot also. Brought it back the third day.

Couldn't find many reviews on this blender before I bought it about a month and a half ago. I went ahead and stopped in at my local Best Buy and they had one of these in stock so I used some rewards points and a gift card to make this a really awesome deal. When I first got the blender, I noticed that the metal ring on the bottom of the jar was loosening when I blended. I contacted Salton customer service and they sent me a new blender jar with no issue. Their customer service was awesome. It did take a little while to get to me since they are based in Canada but it was worth it. The new blender jar has worked perfectly! I use this blender daily with frozen fruits, lots of greens, celery, etc. I've even used whole apples and pears in my smoothies with no problem. I've also made peanut butter and hummus in it. It's an awesome blender and you really can't beat the price. Highly recommend!

My blender does what the competition will do for a quarter of the price! I was certain that I would be spending 600 for a blender from another company. So happy I went this route!

I received this blender today and it's going back tomorrow. Everything is made of cheap plastic. For this price you'd expect the jar to be made of glass but it's cheap plastic. Plastic retains odors and if you make protein shakes or smoothies with many different ingredients, after hundreds of uses with a plastic jar, it will develop an odor no matter how much you clean it. Retail price is $250 which is absurd. I got it on sale for $79 and I'm still returning it. Very poorly made. I can't understand how this product received any positive reviews. Glass jars with a heavy duty metal base is what you should get for the advertised retail price. At least I know why it was reduced 60%. FYI, I was forced to give this product one star as zero wasn't made available.
